Thanks again lad. Did my flashpoint stuff for the week, Rahool decrypted scathelocke for me from a purple that dropped during one of the heroics. Then I got another when I turned in my tokens to Devrim, so I banked it for an alt. Got my powerful engrams for the flashpoint and clan done for the week, so I can sit on those until later to turn in.

What's the best exotic for devour lock? The toss up goes to nezeracs, winters guile, and karnsteins. I like using a void sword with devour, so I am thinking in that setup that nezeracs is the best. With a generic setup however, karnsteins seems like the best. Winters guile seems good if you just want to run around punching everything, but not actually super relevant.

what do i have to change through battle.net/bungie to change my character's ingame name? i have not used the blizzard launcher or battletag stuff since wrath of the lich king world of warcraft. i checked google and im mostly getting destiny 1 results, or stuff from the beta.

Technically an improvement, completely removed the fun of hunting for beacons (nobody does now) and removed all interest in opening chests, in D1 you could get ships, items, mats, etc... Here, everything is a token.

Improved, going to a place and doing a series of challenges is better. Objectively it is an upgrade, but there was a certain charm in going to the tower, stocking up with bounties, then popping them all at once when they're all cleared.

Improvement makes going from step to step more fluid, but again there was a degree of fun in going through a quest log with a bunch of quests and picking out what to do next ,etc...
All these systems are an improvement but they feel like a kind of improvement an AI would come up with to improve the behavior of robots. Doesn't feel like an improvement a developer would make to heighten the experience of their players.
People kept saying challenged are the new bounties, but they're not really, they are a replacement for bounties - bounties could straight up give you gear from their respective activities, remember weekly crucible quartermaster bounties? How they could give you trials and IB weapons? That was a brilliant addition.
Record books I genuinely hoped would make an appearance in D2, and what's more I hoped they would be on a page people could see by inspecting you, filling out record book nodes was genuinely fun and gave long term goals to your gameplay.
I have no doubt D2 will turn out to be an amazing game in a couple years, but its just disheartening how they've applied nothing they learned in D1 years 2 and 3.
Not expecting them to provide 3 years worth of content at the start, but its unusual they improved nothing. When a phone comes out it may not come with every app and accessory the old models came with, but it carries over previous model's improvements.

I have tried every warlock spec and so far it appears only the Void-Devour route is able to really Spam grenades and is the most survivable.
I like Sun and Thunder ults better, but their grenades and melee have ridiculously long cooldowns, ground slam is a rather weak heal and lightning doesn't appear to have any life restore at all. And healing ground also has a rather long cooldown and cast time, I died several times trying to place down healing field.
Am I playing warlock wrong or is Devour really the best spec?

Ability mods are marginal at best, they only shave off like a few seconds of cooldown. Plus they don't stack I think
