It's the TF2 team who decides what hats to add, the community supporting the game by buying keys and cases isn't what killed artstyle, but the team not putting their foot down and adding purely artstyle cosmetics.

The irony is that the Chad would very much be a heavy cosmetic user with a guady unusual. I mean take one single look at what Chad looks like, the colors of the clothes he wears. The Chad is impossible to miss and everyone is always looking at him.

The difference is that the Chad didn't buy a single thing in TF2, everything was given to him by willing medic GFs so that they could pocket him.

TF2Stadium? Everyone hates TF2Center so someone made Stadium. However no one uses Stadium so everyone still uses TF2Center. No one uses Stadium because there's never anyone using Stadium so they stay on TF2Center.

Stadium is abandoned because it tried to do what TF2Center does but didn't offer anything new, so it fell flat and is widely considered a bastardized TF2Center clone.
