I was actually the player who dealt with /a/ Y’shtola NPC player trying to RP with me in the Quicksand a bit ago. They were emoting at me in which I kindly sent them a whisper that I do not wish to interact with a lore character and that I felt it was ruining my immersion. I was polite and had asked them to just ignore the fact I was there and wished them luck on their venture only received responses of hate and being called an elitist for not wanting to RP with someone who was RPing an NPC.

why didn't they keep Sophia looking like this? closer to her FF6 version?

I'm considering picking up XIV but I'm a bit worried about my computer. The GPU is pretty decent but my CPU def needs an upgrade. I'm going to run the benchmark but what would be considered a good score for playing on high settings, while still getting good fps during high involvement areas like raids?

I've never actually encountered a NPC player in the wild, but I also don't understand why they'd be harassed for it. Extra props if they're doing an accurate job of portraying the character.

I think above everything it's her whining that gets me. Through the story, even when dealing with other issues, she could do all but bring up and cry about Ala Mhigo. I understand that's her home and obviously that's going to be something she has in mind/at heart, but no other character seems to require a constant drizzle of tears over their conflicts.
