If you actually play TF2 you are in the company of known redditors, including uncle dane, let that sink in.

look me in the eye and type that you recognize that you're letting a man who thinks pickle rick is funny dictate your opinions.
Charles Cox
I'm also in the company of my nazibros, and we can all agree that random crits are balanced and here to stay.
Jordan Moore
? He doesn't dictate my opinion because I'm smart enough to know why random crits exist and are healthy for the game, you aren't.

I think there's no way they're going to make projectile hitboxes/particles work. Too easy to fuck up. Maybe if the tf2 team were larger and more prolific on this one issue, but at this rate they're better off looking into that lightning gun suggestion.

/r/SRS got butthurt that their raid on /pol/ failed and spammed interracial cuckold porn to trigger the board. This eventually became a common feature of the board and a (forced) meme by being so ubiquitous. So, it worked, or backfired horribly depending on how you look at it.
Then it spread to /v/ (and the rest of the site) as it got politicized/gg, but other boards like /int/ and /tv/ were infected way before that.
Wyatt Barnes
so you're saying that the subhumans got mad that /pol/ got a skilled critical hit and now can only think about black cocks inside white women.
Wyatt Gray
>if i call him out for doing the same thing that invalidates the fact that i did it too fair's fair, yes i think you're a fucking imbecile and i called you out on it and until i started using "big words" you didn't seem to bother trying to take this shit seriously and were content to stoop to the same level of character attacking as i was without making a fucking point the entire time, further making you look like a fucking retard. so let's dig deeper into this shit. >If you can't dodge a glowing projectile in a game that you have played for more than 1500+ hours, then you're aren't any good at the game. ok let's really analyze this one. say you're a scout fighting a soldier. you know how much hp you have, you know how much it's going to take to kill the soldier, how close you have to be to do so as efficiently and quickly as possible to minimize risk and make yourself harder to hit and how much damage he can do to you in what amount of time. based on your observations you see this soldier is wearing gunboats, meaning that it will take at least two rockets in order to kill you and he cannot follow that up with a shot from his shotgun. you're both at full health, he whiffs three shots in a row as you run towards him and put a single perfect 106 damage meatshot into him and then he shoots the ground next to you and does 200 damage. in your "players who can't deal with random crits are bad" mindset, every player must be accounting for random crits at all times. that is horrible. you would never fight anyone ever on the off chance, on that 2% chance that any given player can one shot you completely out of your control. but that's fine, just play sniper at all times so you never have to get close to anyone and can see all random crits coming across the map at any given time, because i'm sure your team needed that 6th sniper. just so you don't have to deal with something completely out of your control. fuck that.

>if you can't accept that this is entirely only used in a situation where kills and deaths don't matter, then you are aren't any good at playing games. oh but it really, really does matter. this is where about 98% of the fucking game takes place, this is where every single person who has played this game starts out and begins improving. if a bad player gets themselves in a shit situation but they are bailed out by a random crit, if a retarded soldier overextends all the way to spawn and a soldier-med combo waltzes out but he's ok with this situation because he got blessed with a random crit, they are going to stay shit. they will not be punished for mistakes. it's like if you sometimes give your dog a treat when he pisses all over the fucking carpet. or sometimes giving your stupid kid ice cream when he throws his spaghetti all over the ground when you're at a fancy italian restaurant. always sometimes. for those new players pro-crits fags always talk about, random crits are nothing but detrimental. the random crits they do get when they get in dumb situations are only going to reward them for bad behavior. and random crits more often than not benefit players who are already stomping so it gets them shit on for no fucking reason when they might actually be doing well for once. there is no fucking consistency. it goes against everything that we know about the learning process. fuck off with that it doesn't matter shit.
Levi White
>just plug your nose, dude! >who cares if it smells like shit? >it's been years, come on; it's like the crusty old dog shit isn't even there!

uh actually random crits (or as me and my friends on reddit call them random shits lololol) are not fair and balanced because uncle dane told me they arent, im pickle rick btw
Chase Long
>all those pubbers mad because they can't have crits on actual matches
Caleb Nelson
>I will continue insulting you then pretend to be the moral high-ground
You have chosen a suspiciously specific example, so we'll use that one, despite it being biased in your favor, in which a soldier get a kill. In a game about dying and getting kills. Now in the same school of logic, the scout could have got a crit aswell, meaning that he got a free kill on the soldier. If both parties have the same chance of getting the crit, then everyone who has ever played the game enough to know what crits are wouldn't have to run away. They would play the lottery and get a crit. Maybe they dont.
This isn't comp play. This is a game mode that kills and deaths don't matter. Let's wait for that player to go from casual, to community comp, to league comp. That, I assume, would be the progression. You're acting like crits are the only reason that people are shit. Perhaps they just don't want to get better. If you want to play on a higher level, go play a pug.
Jacob Davis
>the game should revolve around a lottery of who gets random 3x damage Simply epic
Samuel Miller
You forgot that he actually isn't on a higher level because he hates crits and would get dumpstered easily in a pug.
Gavin Turner
>the entire game is in a 2fort pub with one soldier and one scout simbly ebic
Samuel Barnes
If you don't like a core game mechanic, there are thousands of dead community servers for snowflakes just like (you) full of like-minded uncle dane fans.

So why don't comp medics just dodge a CaC's scouts glowy bullets?
Austin Harris
did quake have random crits
Josiah Bailey
im pyro rick
John Bennett
>scout get a crit >does 180 damage >still has to shoot the soldier twice in order to kill him >this of course is assuming random scattergun spread is in his favor because let's stack randomness on randomness lmao holds up spork so random hey it's almost like not all classes benefit from random crits in the same way so it's even LESS fair. so soldier can one shot every single class in the game bar heavy while sniper gets to do 24 damage for a couple shots with his piddly secondary no one equips. yeah, that sure screams balanced to me. >They would play the lottery and get a crit. Maybe they dont. and how about fuck off with that? i don't play tf2 to play a vegas slots simulator, i play it to shoot people. people randomly gaining an advantage over me, or me doing the same to them in a situation neither of us has control over is not fucking fun. >This isn't comp play. no it's fucking not, but it's where everyone starts off. no one, and i mean fucking no one, has gotten into tf2 specifically for the competitive scene specifically. they may get into it down the line, but it has never been the draw of the game. everyone's first impression of the game is random crits and it's bullshit because that can influence their choice on whether or not they want to continue playing. people like you may like wacky random holds up spork bullshit but i like consistency. when they removed random damage spread i was on cloud fucking nine. >You're acting like crits are the only reason that people are shit. they're a contributing factor and if factors like the busted ass training mode can be criticized and held accountable for people being ass at the game your precious random crits should be too.
Jeremiah Barnes
is cac even good anymore it seems like they basically reverted it to what it was when it was garbage
Jayden Martin
omg pickle rick my SIDES!!!! dont forget to subscribe to uncle dane btw, I think you'd would really like his channel:D i heard he hates crits
Samuel Cooper
>there are people who think there aren't servers that turns crits off
Logan Edwards
Firstly, anyone who both hates skilled crits and doesn't self-deport isn't worthy of personhood, and second all of those servers are dead because those who hate crits are actually just an extremely vocal, childish minority.
Cameron Ross
You can still basically oneshot a medic before any downsides occur
Angel Brown
Enough to stay blacklisted, because the mark for death only comes after the scout fires his first shot. The issue is your med is already dead by then and it was a kamikaze move anyway.
Levi Cox
>there are people that it's okay for a game to only be playable on a select handful of community servers despite most of them being dead or cancer
Ayden Parker
>tfw pyro main >glowy rocket >deflect and it hits
feels good
Adrian Morgan
But the game is extremely playable right now? If only you and a handful of other vocal minorities don't want to make your own server then maybe reconsider your shit taste, friend.
Josiah Watson
Play valve comp then famblam
Gavin Wright
>easily deflect a slow ass rocket >get a free mini crit skill
Chase Allen
You've used the specific situation again, but assumed a few things there. >The soldier is on full health. >The scout can't jump >The soldier has 100% accuracy >The scout doesn't see what the new player soldier is doing
Sniper doesn't need random crits, he has headshots and the distance he can keep himself at. >and how about fuck off with that? That's not an answer. You're also saying this like you never ever get crits. Everyone has the same chance. Thanks to it's actually a 2% chance.
Pubs and community pubs aren't anything to do with skill, that's about having fun in the game. Comp is where skills are applied. If you would like consistancy as you put it, then please, play either a non-crit pub or play a pug.
A 2% contributing factor isn't much of a factor. Also, not my random crits. I might get random crits given to me, but I sure don't pull them magically out of my ass to spite other players.
Gabriel Price
Even deader than community servers
Cameron Lewis
which side of the crit argument is this?
Carson Hughes
>BUT VALVE COMP IS DEAD >REEEEEEEEE >MUH AIM BOT SNIPERS >MUH SHITTY MATCH MAKING
David Long
It's almost as if they're dead because an overwhelming majority of tf2 players have agreed that crits are healthy for the game and provide an enjoyable experience more often than not.
Ryan Davis
Doesn't stop you from populating it.
Nathaniel Jones
Or because it's a shit system Yeah, a single person sitting in queue for eight hours is really going to populate it
Jonathan Flores
Just spend those eight hours watching pickle rick or uncle dane videos, I heard those are popular with people dumb enough to hate crits.
Matthew Hughes
>Or because it's a shit system

>when /v/eddit wants to be mad so badly they make up strawmen in their mind to get mad at

Kevin Cruz
>all those redditors defending random crits
Matthew Johnson
>responding to meme argument by following up with another meme argument
Alexander Bell
It's a meme, but it's correct. It's easy as hell to learn how to avoid something. In a game about avoiding things.
A literal redditor said it should be removed. That makes everyone a redditor according to your logic.
Carson Perry
If you even get hit in this game you're pretty much shit and should stop playing the game.
Austin Murphy
>but assumed a few things there. things i established in my first post but that's ok cupcake, reading is difficult >The scout can't jump what is splash damage >The soldier has 100% accuracy what are the three shots he completely whiffed before and what is the only shot he's hitting being due to splash damage >The scout doesn't see what the new player soldier is doing being stupid and missing most of his shots? he has one rocket left in his fucking clip, and the scout is still at full health, unless he has the fucking candy cane equipped, even if that soldier suddenly did gain perfect aim, he could survive the encounter, that was the entire fucking point. >Sniper doesn't need random crits no class needs random crits shit for brains. >That's not an answer. no but literally everything i said after that is but then we've established your issue with reading. >Everyone has the same chance. that means fucking nothing. everyone has the same chance of getting eaten by a shark when they go to the beach, does that mean everyone should account for shark attacks at all times and just not bother going in the ocean? >Pubs and community pubs aren't anything to do with skill, that's about having fun in the game and crits are not fun. all i can think when i crit someone from full health is "i didn't deserve that kill." killing people with crits is not fun. winning fights because i'm good at the game is fun. and how, by the way, do people make the transition into comp? by playing a lot of casual and attempting to get good at the game through that. why should the developers accommodate to the lowest common denominator on this? the ones who will never, ever touch or look at comp? why cater to them? >A 2% contributing factor isn't much of a factor. that's one in fifty shots. 24 people each shooting a lot at each other. assuming each one shoots at least once say, once every 5 seconds, that's one random crit every 10 seconds give or take. my ass not much.
