What's up? I've been really busy lately and will continue to be really busy for a while which is why I haven't posted anything about VGL yet.

I also don't have TWWH2 yet and I've been away from the thread for a couple months and am way behind so I don't know where I'd even start for new players for a poll.

If I remember correctly Phoenix king Malekith and Avatar Tyrion got same beast stats on tabletop.

Stacks that are half troll and half chariot are pretty much unkillable, and they seem to shit out one of these every turn.

Morathi is way too slutty. Isabella at least sleeps with only one man.

They're pretty damn spectacular. Anti-large with heavy AP damage, nobody else can compete in that price bracket.

No, Chaos is far harder to fight. It's just that Chaos is only around for maybe 25% of a full campaign.

how does /twg/ enjoy the beastman? I bought the DLC few days ago and honestly I don't understand how to make it enjoyable. I've been sacking and razing stuff but it feels like i'm not part of the world really

Norsca AI is kinda broken right now. I doubt they will fix Varg and co steamroll tell norsca foundation update.

Try using fully leveled bombardments in a defensive siege and you might sing another tune.

Don't bother with diplomacy, do bonus objectives for each campaign/imperium stage, keep baby stacks with mommy stacks until they're independent, use cygors, run and gun across the Empire (if you stay in one place Todbringer or someone else will merc you with a full stack, bully smaller factions to death, farm Norsca, have fun.

Anyone know if there's a mod that adds the voicelines of M2TW? So the French speak French, Scots speak Scottish, Brits speak British, Mediterraneans speak Mediterranean (and the germans speak slavic i guess because otherwise they'd call you emperor idk)

Well, how about parking a stack inside the Ark, numbskull? Unless the AI sends like 3 stacks at once, it's virtually impossible for the Ark to lose AR battles.

The solution to Norsca is some kind of mod that simply takes most of the attack/defense skill of chariots away and adds it to charge bonus

Thus the chariots are the same when charging as the two are added together, but once they're stuck and getting hacked from all sides they should take massive damage

Which faction are you, which units of light infantry are you referring to specifically and which units of which faction did you send them against? Early game they're pretty useful desu

It's just typical messy CA ai. I bet they'll ask for peace without fighting in 5 turns, maybe even offering money

Early middle ages was done in Age of Charlemagne, so probably directly after that, the semi-early middle ages of 900 A.D progressing all the way to the 1400s maybe?

Okay Veeky Forums I got some (possible) news regarding historic total war. I'm from Horsham (location of CA's headquarters) and last night I was at a bar with some friends. As I often do, I began talking to some of the more colorful locals, I met a young guy in his late twenties (won't say his name in case he really does work for CA) and we talked about videogames, eventually he mentioned he was a game dev and I immediately guessed "Creative Assembly?".

Long story short, I think I got an unfiltered and uncontrolled drunken interview with a CA developer. And as the night went on he got drunker and more chatty about his job.

At one point he mentioned that he's getting sick of "modeling Vikings all day" offhandedly which leads me to believe that either the next DLC or "Saga" came will have something to do with the Viking invasions of England (given that last screenshot of Ireland).

But the big eye-raiser came at the end of the night when I asked him if he could "give me a hint" about he next big history title. He stared at me for a second, kind of looked me down and finally shrugged his shoulders and said three words.

"Pike and Shot".

I didn't ask anything else after that, I feel like I had my answer and that pushing it may be rude. Now of course I have basically NO EVIDENCE that this drunk guy was actually a CA dev and not just fucking with me, and you have no evidence that I'm not making this up. But I know what happened last night, and I want this post screenshot for some form of posterity in the slight chance its true.

TL;DR Drunk guy said The Saga game is Viking raids and the next historical title is gonna be 16th-17th century Europe.

Love watching Lizardmen and Chaos Warriors fight.

I want to see the veeery early exploration/fights in the new world and dawn of piracy, rather than start out with UK/France/Spain at a huge advantage in colonies and pre-made cities of the new world and such

It definitely needs improvement but it can still be fun.
