Nocturne will set a baseline for you, smt4 is like a soft reboot of smt1, and PQ is better than any nu-persona game thanks to the fact that it's an eo game but it's nothing like the other two

Alright, I guess I'll do that. Is it obvious where the route split happens in Nocturne and SMT4? I basically want to have a save at route split and do all the routes in both without having to replay the wholegame. Also, will doing other routes this way in SMT4 still count as having done all 4 with save import into Apoc?

here's how routes in nocturne work - you meet up with each alignment rep at a certain point. if you agree with what they say, you get points. if you get enough points, you get locked into that alignment. since there's 6 endings in nocturne, i wouldn't recommend doing them all. you can make a save point before each meeting, though.

this is much easier. in 4 you get alignment points over the course of the game. answering 'law' answers increases them, answering 'chaos' decreases it. at 10 you get law, between you get neutral. the difficulty is keeping track of your points -- people in bars will tell you your alignment, but there's a certain point where you can't talk to them anymore (but still can lose/gain points) so be careful.

Regarding Nocturne, do you meet with all of them one-by-one at certain one fixed point in the game like the alignment choices in SMT1 and SMT2?
Or is it cumulative from throughout the entire game? Because if it's the latter then fuck that noise.

As for SMT4, I guess I'll just look up on google what questions affect alignment just to be on the safe side and sit in the middle. If I'm in the middle can I still engage in Law and Chaos like it was in SMT1 and SMT2?

I actually forgot - it's not within -10 < x < 10, it's -8 < x < 8. so that means if you are at 0, the one last choice you make that affects your alignment will make it impossible for you to go neutral. there is a boss fight beforehand that can affect your alignment, but be careful

and no, once you reach the alignment lock there are chaos and law specific quests you are locked out of doing in neutral. but you do end up fighting both the chaos and law final bosses, yes, like in I.

yeah, it sucks ass. thankfully one of those routes is a bad ending that ends the game at the alignment lock but it does require you to essentially play through the game 4 times if you want the bonuses.

i'd say just complete neutral, especially if you're planning to head onto apoc later.

Literally all the demons including bosses are usable because of Passwords just like in the DS original where you could have Soil Jimenez, Pillar Zelenin and Mem Aleph in your party thanks to Passwords because why the fuck not.
