You have to tank into HP and have no escapes so you have to rely on infusions. You can't get very far unless you get some nice early items to smooth it over a bit.

Yeah the main issue is that you have no stun and really low numbers everywhere. It might be possible because you aren't Hunted if you take everything slowly and go full terraforming autism though.

They would space it 1s apart to make you think it wasn't the same person. /tome/ can see past the bluff.

desu you'd have to do a pretty aids-tier scum for it to work or use a starting addon (mex's) to get a sand mindstar+good movement and then go full terraformer autism.
On the flip side there will be tons of monsters who you'll be unable to kill tho.

You can "scum" by doing the first dungeon, then going to zigur then restarting if a sand didn't spawn (they're rare as fuck), because while you can manually terraform, it's impossible (or nearly) to flee some welcome parties of 1-2 rares/uniques/randbosses.

Tales of Maj'Eyal is a truly avant garde game that respects the players intellect and does not resort to easy meme humor or "be spoiled or you die lol" jokes like Nethack or DCSS have used as a crutch so many times. Every level of the game is so consistently good and progressively more and more awesome it is scary to think about. I would think that /rlg/, or at least the new /rlg/, would be much more receptive to a truly quality and daring piece of artistic gaming but I suppose I can blame it on the numbskulls that just hopped off the animefag boat and landed in our quaint little port.

So that begs the question: Are you doing it to be contrarian because it is popular? Because the joke bombed and was never funny, I'm sorry to say. At the very least try to be creative in your shitposting because we've read all the lines a thousand times.

If you come to our general and try to start shit, just know we will not meme with you, we will not break our proverbial bread of bants with you; we will not engage you in any fashion. On the contrary, we will treat you as a foreign threat, an invader, and we will punish you for invading our space so just stick to your containment threads and let us discuss and enjoy the game in peace.

/rlg/ haven't moved on and accepted that /tome/ is a legitimate roguelike with a dedicated fan base.
