.hack//IMOQ was pretty terrible While I and M were ok, it was completely downhill from there. The game was more or less repetitive though and didn't get better as the game went along. The story for Outbreak was nonexistant and Quarantine was just bad. I did like some of the glitched scenarios as well as item trading in these though.
.hack//GU wasn't so bad, but not so great either. I didn't hate it but it didn't really stand out in my opinion.

I probably could have saved 105 turns if I hadn't gone full retard before my finisher turn which got my Lightning snorted away. What followed was over 500k damage that needed to be done with mostly sup 1k chip damage hits. The strategy is pretty simple: - Sedona with 100% dodge, insta-death immunity and 100% fire resistance (50% from armor, 50% from Phoenix) - any DPS, also needs 100% fire resist (gear + 50% from Ifrit) and preferable a Raven Cloak to not get raped by Omega after getting revived
Omega has a 30 turn attack pattern. Sedona goes into hiding on unsafe turns, revives your DPS on safe turns(you get Revive from Phoenix), then hides again while the DPS deals damage and then dies. Dead and hidden units cannot be snorted away.
I have zero respect for encounters that have unavoidable snort attacks. It's shit tier design.
Doing it with the cheese strategy is at least fun and original instead of brute-forcing it with a bunch of whaled up 7*s.

After using iNichol to clear the Nightmare trial, I have to say his ability to turn anything into a cover tank is utterly retarded.
Not only can he cover + break on the same turn, but he also has breathing room to fuck around with 9S TMR or Rikku's Poach.
Turning an utility unit or a DPS unit with 100% dodge into a cover tank is amazing. And it gets even more stupid if said unit has a (high) chance to counter.
GL got fucked over by not getting Red Nose/JP Producer Jacket, but then Gumi went and gave us something even more stupid.

What's going to be really interesting are future units, though. There are a couple of units entirely based around counters like Elfried or Ouga.
189 base ATK, stats out of the ass, a metric fuckton of counters and once she fires of her LB (which means another +567 ATK on top of other buffs) she should be able to hit over 1.6k ATK with the right gear and buffs.
Except Ulrika has a fire Imperil counter and across the board way stronger multipliers (up to 1000%, depending on the counter). She's going to assrape everything.
