When I first started playing, I made poor choices about my first mech purchases and was stubborn about trying to make builds that didn't work work, and promptly found myself as a Tier 5 potato. Now that I'm no longer completely horrible and now just aggressively mediocre, I'm working my way back through T4, and I swear to god most T4 matches are fucking worse, and filled with way more fucking useless wastes of space. I know part of that is dropping new players in T4, but it can't account for all of it. It just can't.

Trust me, the amount of retards is constant in all tiers. It wont get any better when you tier up. I've been playin since beta and I've been full bar tier 1 since the system was implemented. Tier 1 matches are still filled with people who can't aim, build mechs, move & shoot, position themselves etc. The tier that is supposed to be the elite players is filled with people who can't even play the game. The playerbase is just flawed and the amount of retards increases during events as the mouth breathers are drawn in by the promise of free stuff.

almost forgot Heavy PPCs are what clam babbys wanted clam ERpeppers to be: a 15 pin-point damage pepsi. It's pretty gud Light PPCs are okay but you can't fire more than 3 without spooky ghosts so it's kinda gay Snug PPCs are fuckin great just by being a ton less than a LPL while taking the same crit space, but runs slightly hotter than regular PPCs. They also have the same cooldown as an AC20 so those two go well together.
In terms of new robutts Uziel is mediocre. While it's not bad, it's not great either. Don't believe spectres lies Can't say much about the Cougar since I rarely see the fucks. Harabec apparently say's they can run duel PPCs pretty well or something, but fuck if I know Mad Cat 2 is pretty gud. MAD-5D does either MRM60 or 2x LRM15s with 5x MPL. LRM build is kinda... meh.
MAD-5M does 5x ERML + Heavy gauss, or 2X RAC5 + 5x medium lasers, or 4x LPL + jump jets.
MAD-3R does 3x UAC2, or 3x RAC2, or 4x PPC + triple memeguns.
