Not explicitly, no. The artist and her design won a contest to basically design a Middle Eastern character. Najudo (I believe that's her name) won the contest, so she will be featured in "the next King of Fighters project" or something.

What was so bad about SVC Chaos? Everyone says this game is terrible, but I never really played it.

The mechanics were relatively weak, and the Capcom characters didn't have the cleanest transitions into SNK's four-button system. SVC Chaos wasn't necessarily a bad game, but it's understandably the weakest of the Capcom vs. SNK games.

That said, the Capcom chararacters look FUCKING AMAZING in SNK's style.

Kukri fights with magic sand powers, she has some kind of Zato-1 Bayonetta bullshit. Besides, this is a series that has had four playable Kyos in one game and blatantly ripped off Akira.

I always hated they gave us 2 Akumas, 2 Mr. Karates, 2 Ioris and 2 Kens.
That's 4 wasted slots IMO.

To be fair, we got Serious Mr. Karate out of the deal, proof that Takuma can be a force of nature when he wants to be.

Also believe it or not in SVC Shin Akuma and Orochi Iori aren't just more powerful versions of Akuma and Iori, they actually have weaknesses that the normal ones don't.

There's a reason he's on 4 of the other top 5 on my server, and on a fuckton of the top teams. Iori would probably be a lot better (I wasn't wasting resources training him), but fuck off with kyo. The whole meta is to win in round 1. It's the reason I can beat someone with 40k more power than me.

That's simply not possible by that point of the game. Also, you picked one of the worst WBS characters to do it, practically everyone else is better. And again, you aren't counting Kyo's passive, which I'm 99% sure nets you more damage by itself than Robert contributes as a whole since his buff overlaps with Chris's.

Not to mention your WBS team is half hearted in the first place with that Rugal, who doesn't really do much to stop the rest of your team from getting fucked up by the opponents first attack. You don't even have a proper frontline, since Goenitz, Robert and Chris are all squishy as fuck and Shermie should go in the back to make her debuff last as long as possible.

Really don't want to be that guy, but if you are gonna appeal to >muh meta, at least make sure you really know what the meta is. There's more to it than "just throw wbs characters in lmao".

It absolutely is. You don't wipe the team out, but you do enough damage and control to ensure you win. Rugal + O.Shermie give a chance against other WBS teams with higher priority, and the teams not running wbs that have significantly higher power. Plus, Rugal's the best character in the game, he still has a place in most WBS teams.

All that proves is that both players believe the passive sticks around after a character dies. You can't really conclude anything because Lazy's Shermie dies in the first turn before we have a point of comparison and the other guy's shermie doesn't die until the end, when all that's left is a character that hadn't been touched, so again, no solid numbers to conclude anything.

I guess I'll do the tests myself. Should be easy enough to prove with a few rounds in the arena.

Amen - and Serious Mr Karate was heavily based on AoF mechanics, including wall jumps and destroying projectiles with normals.

While those things didn't make it to XIII, I guess that version of the character helped make him an option for the game.

XIV King has a guard point on her LK that lets her absorb a projectile, including a Haoh Shou Gou Ken.
