The theme of Raidou 2 is the future. Do you look for the future for yourself? Thats a Chaos philosophy (Hence Dhan is Chaos rep since he wants Akane to have a future of her own). Do you look for a future where everyone benefits at the expense of your own? Thats law (Hence Akane is a law rep since she looks for the well being of the Tsukigata village over her own). Its similar how in SJ where Mitras asks you who do you look out for: yourself (Chaos) or your crewmates (Law).

Also the game plays with Raidou´s role in the game: wether you are Raidou Kuzunoha, loyal agent of the Yatagarasu (Which given Raidou 1 makes Kuzunoha´s lawful thanks to Raidou 40 revelation), or [insert your name here], someone that works for himself.

I like it because not all is around wether you give the middle finger to God or suck his dick.

Experiment first, then look up with the remainder demon 10 levels behind the party. Of course, from 4 onwards this isn't really necessary.

Because it's a circlejerk where the "old guard" namely Gideon and his pals hold everyone else by the balls due to the fact they've got their fingers in most if not all retro projects and thus control them to a large extent, they've got the necessary tools, they can cockblock you and generally be complete dickwads.

Raidou 2 was never retarded mainline Law and Chaos. They were always meant to be softer just like every non-mainline game is concerning LNC.

I think in general it's how much different they are from what the series has made us come to expect. Dahn is a phenomenal chaos rep because of how much he goes against what SMT displays as chaos. He starts out as what seems like a typical chaosfag but to find out his only goal is to save his sister, who is suppose to be the law representative and a person he opposes, from basically being raped makes him have actual depth and stand out.

Eh. DSJ barely fixes any of the flaws of the original and things like the new art and all the baby mode shit makes it more of a personal thing on which version is peferrable.
It's probably the most unique of the mainline being unlike any other in terms of setting or story. What are you talking about? What SMT, or dungeon crawler in general, has a mall or garbage dump as a dungeon?

One of the major issues of the original is that the story felt more like just stuff happening. It was information more than a story. A lot of the additions fix that, such as character portraits. Sure, the portraits are ass, but you can't win them all.

Not only the best choice, but the quintessential choice for understanding the series. Its not a coincidence that II is a law themed game, and nocturne is a chaos themed game, and the best ending in II is law, and the best ending in nocturne is chaos.

Nanashi being a complete and utter asshole to everyone makes sense only in the fact that 4A's universe's humans are weak and that it needs to be destroyed thanks to demons. SMT1: Neutral, since it's canon anyway. Not that any of the endings are all that great.
SMT2: Every option kind of sucks. Chaos is really only good if you don't think about the ramifications of it too much. Law has you killing everyone off. Neutral doesn't do much to fix any of the world's issues. I guess I'd pick Chaos, but that's only really because it's the least bad choice.
SMTIII: True Demon Ending, easily.
SMTIV: Neutral, I guess? They really like to shill Neutral in this one, though.
SMTIVA: Both endings suck. You're either pretending everything's okay or being a selfish asshole (because let's be honest: with the choices they give you, Massacre Nanashi would be anything BUT benevolent)
DSJ: Pretty much any endings that aren't either the original law or chaos ones are pretty decent. Deep Law and Deep Chaos still have some of the problems that come with their respective endings, but they're at least not AS batshit this time around
