How many of you need translations anyway?

I haven't noticed much Lulu Farea discussion compared to the other mentioned games but admittedly I was super busy the last couple months and barely spent any time here.

It seems more popular with a wider audience rather than these threads. Also still too soon to see if it sticks around long enough.

I've been looking for this game for awhile. I played it like a year ago. It's a Streets of Rage style hentai game, played very well, action combat, combat intimacy, even had the retro graphics look. I remember playing it in a browser. Any ideas? Character's clothes got damaged and could be repaired.

I feel like 30% of us speak Japanese and 80% of the rest use things like VNR to machine translate their games.

I feel like the translations are more to entice new people into the threads and shitpost porngames on /v/.

I can survive with MTL and context but translations certainly give a game an edge and push it to the top of my list.

The translation is nice to have for sure, but since we can't have nice things, I've got used to text hooking and MTL things on my own. Learning katakana helped with the UI and loanwords used for items, skills and similar things in your average fantasy HRPG.

Yeah but I was judging popularity by how sustained it is. There have been plenty of games that had some popularity but were forgotten about and rarely discussed again (Knight Eru, Virgin Island, Cage Reproductive, Rhodes Fortress). Even Salvation, pretty much my GOAT and a fully translated game didn't garner longterm popularity like Ariadne (which I didn't even like).
