So when people order stuff in cargo, does it take from their wallet, or some combined wallet? Like when miners order and then approve their own expensive shit do they pay with it with their own richness? Just kinda confused on how we were always making money even though no one returned any boxes and everything was being approved always

Departments get 1000$ every payday, returning crates is a waste. You always pay from your bank funds too, not your virtual wallet.

Cargo as a department starts with 5000$ on the account. If your QM isnt retarded he'll wire you a thousand or so and you can order the fuck ever you want forever.

Alternatively just go mining for plasma and get a quick 8000 credits in 5-10 minutes.

They recently put in a Requisition setting on Cargo's console, under "Permissions"

From a permission standpoint, yes. There is no difference except for what you're expected to do.

Cargo techs get both access_mining and access_mining_station, same as miners.
Actually, the only difference in their (default) accesses is that cargo techs also get access_taxi, which seems to be obsolete now since it was for the Taxistation taxis

I'm also that roboticist, I always order 12 metal & 8 glass after seeing someone say they do that as well in the thread

I play Lowpop. Very often, the only other person besides me in Security is a Detective. I'm grateful if they're willing to perform arrests.

That said, most of the time the other Security members don't even take SPSes.

If there is a diamond vein on the chunks to the far west of the box asteroid it is always diamond and not gibtonite.

Almost entirely random. Some areas are high-yield, meaning gibtonite doesn't spawn and "rare" ores spawn more often. The little broken-off bits on the far west of Box and the entire right part of the asteroid on Meta are like this.
