Here is a new idea I've had for our community, figured I would post it here after talking to some people in the DM's on discord about it.

Why don't we come up with a blacklisting policy? I've noticed an unsettling trend in the latest weeks where people will seem to "accidentally" remember positive things about toxic, awful people who plagued our general.
The idea simply goes that once a member is kicked or banned from the discord, or is voted a "shitter" by a general, anybody who associates with them will be banned/ignored in all forms. This will discourage people from associating with the likes of Ictos and other renowned toxic shitters, and prevent the spread of meta using, shitty behaviour.
Generally speaking this idea would ensure that as a general we mature a bit, and start acting in a more becoming manner rather than HURR DURR THAT POST WAS EPIC, LE ARM CRASH, LE BOW AFTER EVERY FITE XD XD.
Quiet frankly, its embarrassing to be associated with this place at the moment, so hopefully we can have this discussion nice and early on in the thread and come to some sort of agreement.

tl;dr ban anybody who speaks to kicked/banned shitters to encourage the general to act in a better manner.

Sure there are. For example, I have it on good authority that Ictosser has some people from /dbg/ on his friends list on steam. This was slightly difficult for me and a friend to work out, as his steam name does not match his character name, and his steam profile is on private so I can't check his friends list.
He's toxic and cancerous, and like a cancerous tumour we need to stop the spread.

I know that well, I used to be there too. What I mean is not to inflict Discord drama upon those in the thread who have chosen not to join. It's off topic and attracts bad replies such as this one

Ictos then comes wandering in, and he said he supports the staff decision but the furry cunt has every right to complain (despite being told to shut up by a mod)
And in exactly the way he should have been, he was banned for getting involved when nobody fucking asked him too.

On a serious note, its not complaining. I wont say how long I've been here before but I still remember when people were polite and there was a "feel good" atmosphere about the posting.

This might be news to you since you're not on the discord, but Ictos wasn't one of the people who made it "cool" to shitpost. He shitposted constantly, but nobody else started doing it because of him. There are a few other people to thank for that who I won't name.
