Summary:
Saga title is a spiritual successor to Rome 2. Some are guessing the map will be Britannia.
Campaign pack coming up is Crisis of the Third Century for Rome 2.
Next big history game is a setting they've never done before. Will feature "important character relations that occur between the major personalities in the game."

IT'S TIME TO PURGE FA/TG/UYS

history btfo
fuck CA for not doing an Attila DLC

OH NO
IS THAT A
SKAVEN JEZZAILS

Brown goddess mommy >>> Ugly pale elf slut mom

...

>16 shekels for literally nothing
AHAHAHAHA it hurts ;_;

>/ourguy/ Lindy "Nigger graves digger" beige regrets giving the coon the chance to speak his last words as he starts rapping.

Fuck CA and this shitty overpriced Mod. DEI and Constantine ROC are better then this.

Sage information when.
Tomb Kings information when.
Information that is not R2 when.

Even more of a reason to play Palmyra.

Implying I will buy this

Lindy unironically a fucking shit.
> I LARP with my friends
> So I say on good authority that pikemen NEVER fought in melee against each other
> I mean we tried it and it was too deadly, it wasn't any fun!
> Clearly right before pikemen clashed they mutually raised their pikes and drew their swords instead!

Never ever never, in fact R2 DLC forever.

>Sage information when.
Next year.
>Tomb Kings information when.
Not until after Divided Empires, I think.

lel

DEI is still being developed so they will probably go full autismo mode and do really cool things with the improvements like new politics and characters. It is an exciting time to be a DEI fan.

reminder that Lindybeige claims:

no one used swords, axes
no one used horses
no one used throwing knives
no one used double strap arm shields
no one used scythes
no one used mail coifs
no one used torches
Pikemen didn't fight each other
no one spoke French during the French revolution
no one spoke Latin during the Roman Republic
battle of Zama didn't happen
Romans carried one pilum
Vikings weren't real
berserkers weren't real
climate change isn't real
stagnant social mobility isn't real
castles were defended by three soldiers
butted mail is better than riveted mail
operation market garden was a success
Napoleon was literally Hitler
The Churchill was the best tank in WWII
The English won the Hundreds Years' War
british naval guns on Malta could lanuch projectiles into space

He never said that, he saw two pike formations fighting that way and that was the explanation they gave, which he said in the video to be unlikely at best.

Well I guess they are right

why not play both?

based user

>all those re-used assets from Attila
>no family trees
>unkillable characters

>british naval guns on Malta could lanuch projectiles into space
nasa a shit

Turks can't run warhammer on their toasters

I'M FUCKING IN

Because we don't want to play video games, we want to be MAD

>STILL NO EMPIRE DIVIDED GAMEPLAY
I don't give a shit about an overpriced Mod but still give the people what they actually want.

btfo fantasy fags!!!!!

This general is now R O M A N ! ! ! ! !

I feel like empire should have a loyalty issue or something like that
I need to read on the roman empire more

meme 3rd century vanilla map campaign should repay them for making the patch

free patch itself is golden though

The new campaign is not in the Grand Campaign map, but the IA map. Look at hispania, Sicily and southern Italy are separate, as well as Numidia and Mauretania.

Are you surprised? This is CA we're talking about, the only reason they pulled up their bootstraps with Attila is because they had to if they didn't want to lose what meager fanbase confidence they had left after the R2 disaster.

>Empire Divided comes out on the 30th
>a week or two post-launch cooldown to avoid cannibalizing sales
>Tomb Kangz missive around 10-14th of December
>Release in early January
JUST FUCKING KILL ME NOW, THIS ISN'T FAIR!

>Napoleon was literally Hitler
he was though

>Syracuse is going to get walls
Y E S
E
S

I have to admit, seeing all the stuff in Rome 2, and what's in Warhammer, I'm a bit tiffed.

No naval landings, no settlement battles, no formations... Cripes.

>it only took 4 years

>being this slow

>Commiefags in chat
Kill them.

i thought you hated rome two, what's with the hype for a dlc?

>probably won't get Norsca until Kangz are released

literally everyone is mad in this general

Reminder that Lindy prefers imperial to metric, the ultimate mark of the brainlet

Because this may be a reason to not hate it anymore.

nobody here is hyped, and even on reddit the drones are miffed now that they realize that CA didn't fix R2 at all outside of the new political things

>tfw still no Socii Principes

What units can substitute the Socii Principes, /twg/? I've got the socii cavalry and triarii in order, as well as the hastati, but not the second line.

If it was Tomb Kings there'd be skeletons everywhere. If it was Saga title there'd be whatever historical setting involved images everywhere. Instead it's a great deal of 'meh' and 'why fucking R2'.

As the other user noted, Crisis is closer to the Attila start point than any R2 campaign and has more of the factions that would actually be in it. And it has the mechanics to better represent all the other things going on during it, the Plague of Cyprian, the breakdown of trade, the fortification of smaller cities, it was the transition point from Rome 2's classical antiquity to Attila's late antiquity.

Slavshit/naziboo genocide when? Fuck Gaijin

I haven't even bothered starting up ME campaign due to the lack of proper chaos campaign and missing norsca. That and the shit-ton of bugs.

>tfw the majority of my mods still works

Every ME campaign i start just ends after 20 rounds. In addition to missing Norsca and funChaos the loading times are too long and missing Foundation Update in general is pretty much a dealbreaker.

There are already mods that cover the same time period and probably do it with more accuracy than CA will

why bother

We lurk in the shadows with our heavily modded copies of Rome 2, but we exist.

>tfw stuck in a weird limbo where almost none of the recent TW content is playable yet, there are no word on fixes for most, and what word there is we won't want to play because the fixes are half measures at best

Time to go into hibernation and play something else I guess.

STOP BUYING IT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

in-game building trees YES

THE CASUALS CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS

I started playing ass creed origins for the setting, which made me just want to play Rome 2 and wait for tomb kings to the point where I couldn't stand AC anymore. I'm addicted TW maybe.

>16,99
>for what is basically a mod

Rome 2 mods that are better then this overpriced shit and have more features.
Constantine: Rise of Christianity (Similar to Crisis of the Third Century, divided up Roman Empire, lots of new factions and units, unique events for Constantine)
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=626724803

Res Publica: Era's of Rome (Rome during their wars with other Italian city states, uses HATG map)
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=394081753

Divide and Rule (DEI) an overhaul mod, the best mod in Rome 2.
moddb.com/mods/divide-et-impera

You know I'm pretty meh on the actual DLC itself, but this free update is looking pretty good. I actually think the political parties thing looks neat and a major improvement over the shit stain of vanilla Rome 2's politics, and this is looking pretty good too.

Qt big tiddied aristocratic vampire girl > tranny sand slut

>What is DEI

He claims you can't draw a bow with a bent arm, when that's how I was taught to do it, so the string doesn't smash your bicep to bits ("mind the meat").

He's a cosplayer with delusions of grandeur and noodle arms.

DEI is just too much for me, user. I don't have that much time on my hands.

Broken overrated mess?

>mfw every single Rome 2 mod is now broken
>mfw nobody will bother to fix them

Why not just pretend that some of your regular Principes are from the Italian allies.

Explains him saying pike combat wasnt realistic since he can't hold one up

>every single Rome 2 mod is now broken
Most mods works tho

>nobody will bother to fix them
People still making mods for rome 2 so im sure most will be fixed

>le union meme
WHAT DID THEY MEAN BY THIS?

The only thing stopping me from having a consular legion is the socii principes.

For the roman contingent I have 2 Velites, 2 Hastati, 2 Principes, 1 or 2 Triarii, G&B and a unit of Equites.

For the allied contingent I have 2 Leves (which I pretend are allied units), 2 Socii Hastati, Two units of hoplites (Etruscan or Auxiliary) and one Socii Extraordinarii. The cavalry is 1 socii equites, 1 socii equites extraordinarii and one tarantine cav. Which leaves the socii principes.

PRESERVE IT
TYLIS CLAY IS OURS.

Any good campaign mods for Attila? The antihype with this DlC has left a void.

seems fun so far

it actually seems that most modders are interested and you can restore Rome II to patch 16 via BETAS/

There's also 356 AD for Attila

Nice reddit spacing you have there, friend.

So what Attila improvements are people missing? A family tree so we can watch our sons grow old and die in 40 turns? More numbers to spreadsheet for settlements? Shit optimization that makes turns take twice as long?

>Purge
LITERALLY ROME II IMMERSION PATCH

Whatever, man. I just want my socii principes.

Brown filters

everybody look at the average r2 brainlet and laugh

i miss the city razing

BUT

right now it's Attila which doesn't have Rome II new features

...

why the fuck would you ever be anything other than a republic, that +15 global public order is absolutely absurd

No City Razing was the worst. It sounds nice on paper but teh whole campaign is burned down by the time you get decent units.

>Attila is so deep! You have to keep 3 numbers out of the red in every province instead of 1!

Only brainlets who have never played a real strategy game think Attila's campaign mechanics are deep and interesting.

That loyalty minus probably fuck you. Also
> catolet

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=930752750
Theres also a pretty ok settled Huns 430 AD mod, Fall of the Eagles and another about Clovis.

>reddit spacing

holy fucking shit guys

civil war is ACTUALLY going to matter and is ACTUALLY going to be immersive

i'm going to test how it works

-10 loyalty

>No dlc gameplay
Poor little whitehistoryfags

>being from plebbit
Unironically fuck off back to your shithole.

>own every single historical total war
>still haven't gotten attila

loyalty system makes smaller countries doing better as republics and bigger ones doing better as Empires

it seems they actually thought this through

>anything I don't agree or like is reddit

>paid mods
