Aetherials started defecting to humans when they discovered masturbation.

i started nofapping and haven't masturbated or watched porn in 8 months and counting

Being sterile doesn't mean it's nofap.

>tfw next patch doesn't even have the new roguelike dungeon

how can i even be excited for new patches like this

can you levitate and read women's minds yet?

no, but i have been much more productive at work and at college and at video games thanks to not spending so much time looking at porn and masturbating.

Aren't you excited for the Xbox version? :^)

please no
are they seriously doing this?
holy shit, i'm glad i haven't bought the expansion yet
they WON'T have my money if they're wasting development time porting this game to shitty CONSOLES

I call this outfit "dont touch me"

>the virginity protector

Very fitting for a Inquisitor, no?

but it seems they all fall to the dark side

are there only 2 hidden quest in ultimate or there are more?

What's a poor man's Wordeater?

Does warlock have any decent builds, or does everything it can do better done by other combinations?

grimtools.com/calc/p2565b0V (+1 Hagarrad relic bonus)
Alright lads, what am I missing?

I'm trying to make this character hardcore Crucible ready. Last time I tried, waves 117-120 were pretty scary so I quit, but I'm not entirely sure where to go from here, optimization wise.

I switched from dual wield to shield, which has proved VERY worthwhile. My life is really low though, and I could absolutely stand some sort of lifesaver skill. I'm tempted to switch from Untouchable to Lichguard for this very purpose, but I'd also lose a solid 500 DA which is a big deal.

I could drop Amatok in favor of some better/more defensive devotions, but that would cost me a surprising amount of damage with how damn good that skill is.

My armor is also kind of pitiful, but I doubt I can do much about that at this point, given how neither mastery really grants me a tangible bonus. I don't really want to move points from Blade Barrier to Phantasmal Armor because I'm not really comfortable with the long cooldown otherwise.

Main issue right now is:
>mandatory 20 or higher in Chillsurge
>can't switch out amulet, too few options for other slots
>can't switch out Badge of Mastery, no good options with +Hagarrad
>only 2 options in the off-hand
>rings too good to give up
>mild energy issues if spamming
I'm half-tempted to switch out the relic for a Citadel so I can get another +12% DA, but that'd drop Chillsurge under 20 which fucks my damage output.

>rune build
thats as far as it goes, you still did well getting it to gladiator 120

>going through ugdenbog on hc elite
>get ambushed by rape ape
>never fought it before
>nowhere near optimized for it
>run away like little girl
>decide to fight it on normal to get acquainted with fighting it
>search everywhere from burrwitch to altar of rattosh
>eventually find it in some cavern in the middle of nowhere
Why is this allowed?

What you're missing is that there's not enough itemization or support for runes endgame and they fall off. However, you have 3.8k DA, and iirc the cutoff for boss crits is somewhere around 2.7k what you need is more armor and armor absorption if you want to be even tankier. You can drop an Ugdenbog Leather on your pants for a scaled hide, but I don't know where to go from there. Otherwise, it's probably your time-to-kill on enemies, if they stay alive, they have more chances at hitting you, so you'd need to up your damage or OA somehow.

>play's on hardcore without knowledge of all the game's aspects
>meets unknown boss on ultimate
>pussies out to "learn him" on normal

this kills all the excitement of actually playing hardcore.

a lot of what people do on hardcore kills the excitement of actually playing hardcore, logging out before they die, avoiding content to not die, playing cookie cutter builds because any experimentation could kill them

i'm a hardcore player and i don't play it like that

>actually thinking people play HC for the chalenge and not for epeen

I could absolutely do 150, but I'm not a softcuck so I have to worry about actually dying. I don't feel safe, so I don't want to risk it. I've brought more defensive casters through, and Soldiers are generally laughably easy, albeit significantly slower.
Runes aren't bad at all, you're underestimating them.

Yeah that's been one of my considerations; upping armor (and absorption) and investing more in Phantasmal Armor. I'm not sure about 2.7k though, unless Fabius always shaves off like 10k of your health in a single hit. I don't usually experience this because most Crucible and/or farming builds I've played were either already tanky as fuck, or summoners.

Runes, surprisingly, don't actually fall off that much. My damage and OA are both pretty good, I took Blade Trap for that very reason, that shit makes me annihilate most enemies with crits. I'm primarily worried about unpredicted bursts of damage from Iron Maiden, Fabius, or some unlucky devastation/meteor hitting me in the face.

I lost my train of thought so I might have missed something, I'm super distracted atm.

>epeen on a single player game

really makes me think

What's a build that can kill Lokarr without being too gear dependent? Fucker curb-stomped all my chars and I want revenge.

the game is exactly the same, except your death count is 0. the challenge is basically in your mind

but those achievements

>I could absolutely do 150, but I'm not a softcuck so I have to worry about actually dying
uninstall then, you will never die

>achievements on a single player game

Shit dude that's genius

Fabius does pretty much always hit like a truck. Maybe it's a bit higher, but 3k might still be enough for stopping boss crits. DA does NOT reduce damage though, so the reason he's chunking you definitely is the armor problem. At the very least get that scaled hide, it sucks that you can't go Justice/Warborn set for their bonuses to it. Another alternative is dropping one of your Survivor's Ingenuity Augments for a Colossus Spine, but god it hurts me to say that.

>hardcucks

>making a phys soldier/whatever phys 2h build is the easiest thing in the world and has shitton of item support
>it's tanky as balls and has a truckload of damage
>every other build feels like it's inferior in several ways and is way more troublesome to plan and level

sad

>achievements in any game

>dude steam profile lmao

>accomplishing anything in games

>accomplishing anything

Well I've gone from 1450-ish armor with base absorption to 1666 armor with 99% absorption. Colossus Spine is actually filling that niche, which is really fucking retarded.
I might be able to upgrade the gloves to a Mythical version for some minor armor increase, but I honestly like the skill too much for trash clearing.

I know that DA doesn't reduce damage, but it does have exponential returns, to the point where at 5300-ish with 300-odd OA reduction, basically nothing will hit you anymore. Although you're probably right that it's not worth stacking this far since I don't specialize in lowering OA.

Down to 3500 DA with Lichguard, but I think that might do the trick, survivability wise? I'll have to test Crucible tomorrow when I have time.

>those uncapped fire and cold resistances at level 100

this is triggering me so fucking much

just bump up that fire+lightning res again and you're good. Yeah, especially since you're not a Soldier or a class that excels in lowering enemy OA, trying to stack 5.3k DA would just wreck any damage you had.

>people still hype oom beam arcanist builds
>not embracing the utter superiority of skyshard builds

Sorry I had my buffs off.

Believe it or not, Nightblade is one of the best classes for DA stacking. Massive DA bonus, massive OA reduction, and can somewhat neglect own OA thanks to Blade Trap being really strong. Some bosses become a little annoying with low OA though.
The main issue here is gearing, since I need so many specific items to even make my primary skill viable. I could absolutely convert this bulid into a nigh invincible tank, but I doubt I'll be dealing relevant damage anymore if I do.

Does Phys to Elemental Conversion apply to all sources of the coverted? So if I were to convert 100% Phys to Lightning, the phys from stun jacks would be lightning?

just a note that came to me while re-looking over your skills, if you can stand the dropping of a little %all damage and ~0.2 skill recharge on your runes, you might want to put 4 of the points from Artifact Handling into Deadly Aim. The extra %OA and Crit damage might offset the loss of the Survivor's Ingenuity, or it might be a damage increase.

Aye. I've freed up 4 points from Artifact Handling, and 1 from Breath of Belgothian which was still an artifact from when I was dual wielding.
Sitting at 1707 armor now, with maxed out Phantasmal Armor.

I'm not so sure about Deadly Aim being worth it. I've only put it at 4/12 because that's where the scaling drops off, and I have other priorities. Don't forget that I also have Badge of Mastery to shore up my OA a little. I'd rather overcap Night's Chill for further resist reduction.

my experience is just anecdotal and not exactly the same, as it's on my Fire Strike Purifier, but I've found that Deadly Aim's %OA and Crit damage cause me to spike in damage a lot. Plus the increased OA causes me to crit more, keeping the buff up, etc. It's overall up to you, I like it personally.

Well I'm approaching it from a different perspective. Yes, Deadly Aim is going to provide a massive increase in damage if I fully commit to it, but I feel like I'm already doing enough damage.
On which subject, next time you play Nightblade, I can fully recommend Blade Trap. Crazy good for clearing large waves, with how much it cripples enemy DA.

Honestly, I'll take a look at that, I have a SS Spellbreaker I'm planning to run since I got Soulrend to drop, so I'll look into it. That -35% DA looks juicy.

>Massive DA bonus
from? its hard to get oa from it though

>Crazy good for clearing large waves, with how much it cripples enemy DA
doesnt work on big bosses, near worthless

Shadow Dance. +106 at 15/12. Not as juicy as Word of Renewal, but Veil of Shadow makes up for it with its reduction.

>not working on like 5% of the game makes the skill worthless
You know those massive 15+ elite waves in Crucible? They fucking crumble under Blade Trap. Just 12 points for that are absolutely worth it, in my eyes.

>>not working on like 5% of the game
oh you mean only the part that can kill you

>skyshard
linkie? I'm new and trying to figure out a cool build

>additional clear speed is a bad thing
I'm not autistic enough to spend 6 hours trying to clear a single Crucible wave, sorry.

how many points are needed to unlock the 2 central chests in the crucible?

none. stop dying

Kill the nonbeliever!

The smith in Mathil's tomb is a fucking scam.

I will now show you my...

TRUE PAWRRRR

:))))))))

Is there any point in using the wikia wiki? It just seems like an outdated version of the gamepedia one.

everything is outdated since malmouth

First time reaching Malmouth in HC Elite. Anything I should consider?

don't die

Backing up your character

>hcfags

I got the game when it was still early access.
Bought AoM a few days ago.
I have like 150 hours played, and my highest character is a lvl53 warder.
I used to love arpgs, played a ton of d2 and poe, of course, like many here I guess, but GD is the only game where I just dont give a fuck about hitting max level. Its just not engaging after a certain point which usually is around level 50 and the beginning of elite for most of my characters.
I wish I could enjoy video games still.

>I wish I could enjoy video games still
same but with living

Me too, user

if you join kymon but then choose necro as your second class, will they still get buttblasted at you or not mention it?

all arpg endgame is shit in general
gameplay is
>survive this one shot
>farm lootz

excuse you, there's also
>die to a one shot
>if hc - remake that character

What's the point of playing this game again and again and again? I've finished Vet + Elite and going to Ultimate will probably bore me, not gonna enjoy the same story for 3rd time.

You guys actually enjoy grinding the same shit on and on and on again in fucking single player mode?

If you don't enjoy experimenting with build and item diversity, this game is probably not for you, user. Just play your low effort 2h warder and brainlet your way through the game and quit it after the first playthrough.

I feel like you hit the peak of how your character play very early in GD, pretty much all you do after you have some points in all the skills you'll use which can be as early as you want, its a race to find all shrines and make the game a bit more fun thanks to devotions.

That's with a lot of builds, but there are plenty that require specific items, or very high skill investment to properly take off and really hit their peak.

You DO get early peaks, which depending on your build can come as early as level 10 (see: Devouring Swarm), but you won't reach full performance with some builds until you actually get an important piece of gear, which will at least require level 50 in most cases.

i think the peak level is around 45+, which is roughly the time you finish normal. This is true of ALL arpgs, since after d2 they all have 3 levels of difficulty and you peak after the first.

grimtools.com/calc/aZqmKd5Z
How does this shitty Ritualist caster's skills look? I'm respeccing since I'm getting all this Vitality and Drain Essence gear, I'm almost done with my Uroboruuk set too. I can't decide where to distribute the last dozen points since I'm iffy on Hungering Reach. I only really plan on using Drain Essence against heroes and bosses so if the modifier's adcth only applies to the extra targets I don't think I'll need it.

Is aura of censure worth it over aura of conviction for a ranged purifier? Literally everything on conviction is useful in some for or another especially if you got pierce to fire from that one belt, but censure got that sweet -resistance even if its only in like a 7 meter radius at 12 points.

censure is the best skill for purifier hands down

Aura of Censure is the better one if you're focusing on elemental damage. A lot of the time in the game you'll have enemies charging at you or you'll be in enclosed areas, so the 7m radius isn't that much of a problem. Worst comes to worst you bump it up 10 17/12 or something for the extra meter. But the -% res is so damn good.

alright i guess I'm gonna wait till level 65 and then switch to censure since right now I'm using a silverbolt due to my level limiting my options and am doing equal amounts of piercing and fire damage cause of that.

Try and get some Devil-Touched Ammo to apply on your weapon, I find it's the best weapon component for ranged fire builds.

I'll see if I can find some senpai

Name a build that is so meme-y it might actually work.

Soiled pants+cauldron of excitement poison build

The no-build build

>grimtools.com/calc/M2gW43Y2
holy fuck he's still going

Yeah playing it is honestly not very fun so my progress has been limited by my willingness to play, though I usually try to get at least something done every other day.

you do realize that if you make it to 100 literally no one has an excuse for not making it to 100 in HC

That is my primary motivation for continuing; shitting on all the softcucks who can't make it.

Although to be fair, the build is far from selffound, so it's honestly more of a strawman than anything. Still, going with 's request, I think it perfectly fits the bill.

Why do you hc assholes always have to make it about hc>sc
yes we got it you have a huge dick for playing the game "the right way", can't we have 1 thread or at least one mention of someone dieing or playing in one mode or the other without you pressing your genitals into other peoples faces.

fashion? my battlemage isnt very battle-mage-y yet. fashion motivates me to not die and find better looking gear.

Because whenever I see someone with more deaths on a single character than I have managed in my entire career of playing Grim Dawn, I'm unsure whether to point my finger and laugh, or turn away with disgust.
And that is the average softcuck.

1 nigga I play softcore
2 that statement was literally saying "if someone on HC can reach level 100 with no masteries, anyone can"
3 you're a whiny bitch baby

Tell me about Krieg
