Being able to order your AI around and swap at a whim, the game is balanced around it with a slew of objectives to tackle. Weapon Triangle Advantage and Effective Damage really trivialize a lot of battles, by allowing you to open the weak point gauge mid-combo for Critical Hits and even OHKOs.

It's not as noticeable in Story Mode, but in the History Mode maps? Let's look at Shadow Elimination.
