Six Samurai used to run it, you know. Sets up OTKs by giving an extra attack and acts as a pseudo Reborn to synchro better. Not to mention reviving Shi'en.

But it's outdated, so Secret Skills isn't worth running when people aren't even using Cunning. On the plus side, you can revive things you banish with Hatsume and Enishi or off the SSS protection, including Kizaru for a search.

It's fun and the art is probably the best out of any mainstream TCG, especially in the West.

The "problem" with it is that there's literally zero player interaction. On your opponent's turn, you can do literally nothing. A lot of people don't like this, but it makes for a comfy game.

Also has the single best F2P client I've ever seen.

Yeah, I've seen some of the full arts and those look really cool. My friend's into the game, and he showed me some of the shining legends(?) set and it was pretty neat.

So if all the new summoning mechanics all stem from trying to "fix" the problem of fusion summoning and ritual summoning (including inventing contact fusion so you don't even need to have poly), then how much longer until Konami finally gives up and invents a new summoning mechanic to solve the slow as shit flip summon mechanic?

I kind of want to get into the game just to build a deck around this card because it's my favorite Pokémon, but apparently that's impossible because the Pokémon meta is even more linear than that of Yugioh. on tcg/ocg there's a myriad of options to deal with that type of effect

Choas Max can be affected by non targetting non destroying cards, like Book of Eclipse and Storming/Drowning/Quaking Mirror Force, and you can target your own Chaos Max with your card effects
Howitzer is totally immune, even being unaffected by your own card effects

second can be affect by its owner cards and other specific cards like cards that don't target but can send it back to the hand

Chaos max dragon can still be banished, bounced, and set as long as it’s not targetable. Nothing works on Howitzer even your own effects. They do absolutely nothing. Uneffected is the strongest form of protection.
