reminder that tacticool is no better than slutwear

...

...

RUN NIGGA!

...

what if its tacticool and slutty ?

There is no way to accurately tell what the Legion would become because there are too many variables taking place that we have no information about. Bethesda's interpretation of what the world would look like did Nazi Germany conquer the Western World is seen in the Wolfenstein series, or it could simply collapse due to a series of avoidable but fatal mistakes as happened in the real world. There is simply no way to know.

>a corrupt dictatorship
In what way was Nazi Germany more corrupt than modern democracies? The way they excelled in scientific research as well as military quality and social functioning imposed a real threat to the Western World, and it's no wonder it took half a planet to take it down, unlike the Soviet Union that collapsed under its own inevitable failures without the necessity for foreign intervention. State eugenics would also improve the genetic quality of their territories not through the violence of war as was done by the Legion and the Roman Empire, but by deliberate killing programs to wipe out the "lebensunwertes", and I don't see why the Legion wouldn't inevitably reach that point as well.

>I suggest you read a bit about the mongol empire
>once they fell apart, rather than leaving behind a perfect society, instead the territories which they took either defaulted back to how the were before
And who are you to say they would be what theyrupt
are today wasn't for its recent history as a socialist state? Mongolia has a high IQ population, very similar to Japan, China and South Korea, and much like Communist China and North Korea, and unlike Japan and South Korea, it was ridden by poverty. Japan and South Korea were as underdeveloped as Mongolia prior to western intervention.

Poland only just started to recover from all those decades under Soviet rulership with a *lot* of help from the EU, so that alone tells how difficult it is for a nation to recover from socialism. Your comparison is dumb.

After what Bethesda did to Fallout 4 it seems like a miracle they let Obsidian handle their brand and come up with New Vegas I wonder how close we were to never have that game.

it's like the Chinese knock-off of Quiet, who is the Chinese knock-off of The End

Wrong pic I'm guessing?

That's why you have both at the same time.

>not blowing up the car
have you ever even played video games before user? its a big red barrel with extra steps

>has a high IQ population
you sure like talking about this without citing anything

>Bethesda's interpretation of what the world would look like did Nazi Germany conquer the Western World is seen in the Wolfenstein series
You are confusing Bethesda Game Studios(the developer) with Bethesda Softworks(A publisher), and Machine Games(a developer)

>that low quality sunglare

i'm just picturing you writing this up and then holding onto it for 30+ minutes waiting for a new thread and getting progressively angrier with each post over the bump limit that isn't a new thread

>new vegas
>high quality

by the time the car detonated the ghouls would have cleared it and be on my ass

the real reason is that shooting each individual ghoul is more fun

it explodes faster if you keep shooting it because bethesda is retarded and cars act like they have health bars that start ticking down when they catch fire

Does the BoS really offer humanity any kind of future? They don't develop tech, they raid and pillage the old world and other communities for it and then just hoard it.

An America united under the BoS would be little more than a stagnant military dictatorship.

Because I thought you'd be smart enough to google that yourself without me having to spoonfeed it to you. IQ-wise, the only reason why Eastern Europe, Mongolia and mainland China didn't become as prosperous as their free counterparts is socialism. Latin America as a whole (with perhaps the exception of Chile and Uruguay) is a dysfunctional macro-region *despite* always being overwhelmingly democratic, and that alone tells a lot about IQ and prosperity.

Doesn't make a difference when Bethesda is releasing Doom stuff for Fallout despite it being developed by id.

the brotherhood was never a political force on the wasteland until bethesda made them their darlings in fo3, they were closer to the railroad in that they had a goal but had no interest in controlling any land

lets pretend tactics didnt happen because it was stupid when it came out and its stupid now

The Eastern and Midwestern BoS allow communities to keep technology, so long as they don't use it to harm others. It's only the west coasters who will go out and hunt down every half broken laser rifle or w/e, and take them from everyday Joes.

Also, stagnation is, ultimately, the only way for humanity to survive. Anything else leads to the same disastrous growth cycle that had led to the fall of all previous nations, and the old world.

The BoS weren't a political force in either Fallout 3 or 4 either. They don't give two flips about ruling over people.

>stagnation is, ultimately, the only way for humanity to survive
life on earth has a time limit and that's anywhere between the next unlucky gamma ray burst or the sun just getting too big

>look up Zion Canyon on google map
>immediately find pic related

Holy shit those are real?

Someone pass an empty soda bottle quick!

And the growth of nations just leads to self destruction, and collapse.

the setting in tactics was dumb but god please bethesda find someway to bring back that power armor aesthetic or those BoS HMMWVs

What cactus? Yes they are real user

doesn't mean that they stop making advancements in tech or society or whatever. The fall of Rome wasn't the final nail in the coffin for Europe.

The only hope for humanity in this setting is simply getting off of this rock they destroyed, even if the other worlds they land on too become destroyed

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opuntia
you're welcome

>The only hope for humanity in this setting is simply getting off of this rock they destroyed
Kek, there is no "hope for humanity" in space.

There are no nearby habitable planets, and the post-war fgts aren't ever going to reach the level of tech needed to make the FTL speeds needed to get anywhere.

i saw you try to post that in the old thread, you can't hide from me

>In what way was Nazi Germany more corrupt than modern democracies?
Albert Speer gave a pretty interesting look at it, in his memories, and there is also The Wages of Destruction, which expand is pretty through, but the highlights include:
-Creating a fraudulent currency fund military spending
-Court politics, with people such as Goring, Gobbels, and Speer himself, creating fiefdoms with the Third Reich administration
-Its own administration, which was jumbled together mess of departments and ministries with vague powers and duties
-Rampants lies and creative accounting out of its ass, with for example huge sections of society simple being written off for being consired unemployed, and the state treating people into temporary semi-forced labour as being employed.
> The way they excelled in scientific research as well as military quality and social functioning imposed a real threat to the Western World, and it's no wonder it took half a planet to take it down
It took half of the world to take them down because they declared war on half of the world, but anyway, nazi germany was actually fairly behind in several key areas, such as decription, nuclear physics and large scale manufacturing, and were generally riding off the sucess of previous german governments. The superscience stuff is just because the germans were willingly to put untest stuff at the frontlines, such as the Panther, which as a impressive tank that couldn't go 200km on average without breaking down.
>are today wasn't for its recent history as a socialist state? Mongolia has a high IQ population, very similar to Japan, China and South Korea, and much like Communist China and North Korea, and unlike Japan and South Korea, it was ridden by poverty. Japan and South Korea were as underdeveloped as Mongolia prior to western intervention.
Mongolia had become a irrelevant dump long before communism was a thing, and the conquest revert to how they were before it, or where worse off.

Sorry for the late reply, I was running errands. These are the mods featured in that sccreenshot. The first is the shoulder lamp, and the second is the backpack with the accessories like the flashlight.

not really desu, /pol/ hasn't been full wehraboo since the american election last year, now they're more concerned with their sjw boogeyman

did that horse die?

Blame it on the dumb /pol/poster writing his weird fanfiction about how the legion works and will end up end was, despite the historical evidence to the contrary.

Anyone else want to have the option of playing as a justifiably evil/amoral character and not just a cartoonish villain?
FO3 and FO4 didn't really offer many options to do that desu

and new vegas did?

no hes just had a bit of a bad day

>FO4
Literally the BoS

>BoS

Kek

I was playing through the Kellogs memory quest, and its a good thing that bethesda at least tried, its more then they've ever done before, even had a little animation of how he takes down the synths, but there is one key problem with it - you kill special k the first moment you interract with him, so you just don't really give a fuck about the guy

how many games even let you do something like that? hell most games don't even let you be cartoonishly evil, you generally have a choice of a good-natured hero who saves teveryone, or the jerk who saves everyone

Well, for me, the answer would have to be Cait. She's my favorite character.
There are lots that I like, but only one that I love.

Señorita Petroleum

problem?

The memory quest was in-game because probably some suit at Zenimax said that they need it because other popular games had done that kind of stuff. FO4 really feels design by committee, once you get down to it.

All that political argument serves nothing when the west today is genociding itself, and how the German society operated times more efficiently than any other place on Earth despite its internal affairs, so I'll just skip it.

>and were generally riding off the sucess of previous german governments
Much like every other nation on Earth ever? Ever heard the phrase "standing on the shoulder of giants"? Also, Hitler strongly denied Prussian culture and adopted a Holy Roman Empire basis instead. And they focused on rocketry and medicine instead of nuclear physics.

>It took half of the world to take them down because they declared war on half of the world
No, they did not. Hitler strongly supported the UK and its [former] dominions, had strong support in Spain, Portugal, France, Turkey, Italy, North Africa, Argentina and Eastern Europe.

>Mongolia had become a irrelevant dump long before communism was a thing
Much like Japan and Korea before the Americans set foot in there. Mongolians and [most] Eastern Europeans have the intellectual capacity to develop highly prosperous societies and Poland is proof of that [after receiving a lot of investment from the EU to get them back on their feet]. You're wrong in so many ways.

>you kill special k the first moment you interract with him
How did you kill him in the Vault?

can this be our new _____ faction is actually communist shitfight?

what if, instead of using nick, you used the body meant for curie?
What if the memories stuck?
imagine cute french girl shouting about how you killed her in kelloggs voice and leading a personal courser death squad to hunt you down

that would be a fun character

So if Fallout 5 is ever released, how would you like the current perk system reworked, beside obviously getting the old system back ? What perks would you changed, added or removed ?

>rework perks that give flat bonuses every level like Toughness and Refractor so each level gives a small but different bonus
>add options to some ranks, like 3rd level of bonus damage to rifles OR shotguns
>fold the critical perks into one and add more quirky stuff to the luck tree

I am probably going to get a lot of flak for this, but I don't want the old system back, it was kinda shitty

fo4 perks are literally the same thing as the old perk system but in a chart

>rework perks that give flat bonuses every level like Toughness and Refractor so each level gives a small but different bonus
So basically make them useless gimmick perks that don't stack enough fo any one thing to be worthwhile?
>add options to some ranks, like 3rd level of bonus damage to rifles OR shotguns
Why? The weapon perks are laready as specalized as they need to be. Doing this just devalues those perks by stripping away one ranks, and forcing an upgrade to only one specific weapon type, where there has never been enough of any one specific weapon type to get you through the game.
>fold the critical perks into one and add more quirky stuff to the luck tree
"quirky" almost always means "shitty"

I don't have an issue with the perk system in Fallout 4, I have an issue with too many shitty/useless perks clogging up the tree.

Game Awards they will announce Obsidians next Fallout.

reminder that obsidian is barely staying afloat and most of the people who worked on new vegas dont even work there anymore

Was there anything in the Endurance tree that was actually good?

>military pseudo-theocracy
>steal technology for military use only, don't bother with civic tech
>steal crops from innocent settlers
>murder innocent synths or even ones in their ranks discovered to be synths
>creed of killing any non-humans anyway for any reason
>take no prisoners and do not discriminate between non-combatants/civilians and militants

plus that black-and-red wolfenstein nazi aesthetic

has anyone ever actually wasted a perk point on VANS? does it actually do anything? there could be a huge gamebreaking bug with it any no one would know because no one has ever actually take it

>anyone I don't like is a nazi xd

that's literally not what I said

I agree with you on all else though, but the Enclave is the only faction in the game that was legit based off Nazis.

It's clairyovance from Skyrim, just now you waste a perk point on it.

oh gosh, I love new vegas so much. I wanna fuck all the protectrons.

>steal crops from innocent settlers
Except they don't do this. The PLAYER can do this, but we never see or hear about the BoS doing it themselves. And Danse only gains approval if you pay FULL PRICE for the crops.

>creed of killing any non-humans anyway for any reason
Except they only kill super mutants, who are all hostile to everyone else, and feral ghouls, who are also hostile to anything that isn't them. They make no move against non-feral ghouls.

>take no prisoners and do not discriminate between non-combatants/civilians and militants
This is objectively false. In fact, Danse even outright mentions that Maxson forbids people from killing innocent civilians in the line of duty, even if there is a cache of tech on the other side.

Where are you pulling this shit from? The game directly contradicts basically all of it

...

>Much like every other nation on Earth ever? Ever heard the phrase "standing on the shoulder of giants"?
You were the one claiming that german sucess was because of Hitler and the nazi party, I said that it was despite him.
> And they focused on rocketry and medicine instead of nuclear physics.
And german rocketry was entirely pointless to the war, they flatout reject several fudamentals of nuclear physics because of "jewish science", and their medicinal arm have been dramatically overstated(their only real achievement was a better understand of frostbite because of human experimentation)
> Also, Hitler strongly denied Prussian culture and adopted a Holy Roman Empire basis instead
The Second Reich was largely successful largely because of Prussia, generally speaking.
>No, they did not. Hitler strongly supported the UK and its [former] dominions, had strong support in Spain, Portugal, France, Turkey, Italy, North Africa, Argentina and Eastern Europe.
And he still declared war on half of the world, regardless of his support.
So you are saying that Ceasar's Legion will become a irrelevant dump without outside help? Either way, you can also look at the places the mongolia conquered: Russia was and still is a dump, communism or not, central asia STILL haven't fully recovered, and China went from a intelectual powerhouse to getting their shit pushed in by a bunch of bongs that wanted to sell opium.
Serious, stop trying to pass your shit fanfiction as fact.
And also,
>reddit spacing

tactics was dumb and so are you

but it isnt as dumb as fo3

Rifleman/Gunslinger/Commando all being seperate % increases on weapon types can fuck right off. Spending all those mandatory perk points just for a sliver of weapon variety is shit. The guns and energy split was fine as is.

damnation alley is the superior aesthetic versus mad max

> The guns and energy split was fine as is.
The gun/energy weapon split was beyond retarded, and killed any sort of character diversity, because it made you good with all kinds of weapons from pistols to sniper rifles. There was zero specialization.

Fallout 4 does it MILES better by actually having you specialize in shit

I like both but to each their own and that's not the point.
Well, no. First, there's no skill requirement, there's less variety due to limited amount of perk slots, unlimited levels and so on.
Wrong on all three accounts.
True. Toughness would've been fine if you didn't need to invest 5 levels for it do something (be as good as an armor piece with only physical defence) but had less levels, or something beside DR or make it a flat percent damage reduction, like 5% per level.
The second level gives you +2 perception I think so you can get it up to 13 without problems.

The companion perks all have a second tier, unlocked by the difference between maxed normal affinity, and romance.

go to bed caitfag

Chem resistance and adamantium skeleton are good quality of life perks. Technically I could go back to a doctor every time I get addicted but why bother, it's just two levels.

Life giver and solar powered could be good for survival thanks to their regeneration.

Fuck this is retarded. I shouldn't have to fuck all my companies to get the most use out of their perks.

New Vegas let you specialize you braindead mongoloid. It had specific perks for pistols, types of weapons and sniping while still let you not be a retarded braindead piece of shit while trying to wield any other weaponry.

In 4 it's not specializing, it's being so autistic that using literally anything else is pointless because the damage values are fucked.

Typical Bethesda number whoring with no actual specilization or unique gameplay incentives. Just numbers.
Swear you Bethdrones will defend any retarded decision.

once you fuck them all you get the "wasteland slut" perk which does... uhh... something.

AIDS. You get AIDS.

hello i dont like fallout 4 and i like new vegas

legionfag btfo

> It had specific perks for pistols, types of weapons and sniping
All of those were gimmick perks that the player barely got to use even if they mained that weapon type the whole game. That isn't specialization.

>It had specific perks for pistols, types of weapons and sniping
90% of which dealt with VATS making them useless for regular gameplay

but how could you :(

In the future games, you won't be able to have a relationship with them all.

You'd have a few companions who are ok with that, but a few that would make you choose, like they do in mass effect. And you'd lose the second perk from one of them.

Not only it did not do that, it allowed some variety - now you're stuck with one or two types of weapon for your whole playthrough unless you dump another 5 points. Your character evolved and his arsenal developed - in F4 you go from one pistol to the next pistol if you pick pistolero, same with other perk.s

>people are actually defending f4's weapon perk system
In what world can you train for automatic fire without gaining any experience in single fire
Skills for base damage, perks for bonus
was and is the best system

>new vegas giving you exclusive perks for weapon types to roleplay and specialize is gimmicky
>fallout 4 doing nothing but giving 20% damage is SPECIALIZATION, UNIQUE!!! MILES BETTER!!!!

What is meltdown, laser commander, cowboy, grunt, the professional, run 'n gun, shotgun surgeon, and stay back, pyromaniac

Not to mention Obsidian weren't retarded enough to lock an entire SPECIAL stat behind fucking VATS

>now you're stuck with one or two types of weapon for your whole playthrough unless you dump another 5 points
Wow, so you have to either specialize into one weapon type, or spend perks learning another, making your character less effective due to not taking other non weapon perks instead? That's almost like... literally every RPG ever made!

Not only plenty of people picked, they got to use them every time they used the weapons the perk was for and that EXACTLY what specialization is. You were good with say ballistic weapons but specialized with lever action weapons for example while another character that used ballistic weapons specialized in automatic weapons and then you could also specialized in one handed or two handed weapons.

In F4 you're good with one type of weapon and that's all, the only exception being heavy weapons since they shoved anything big they could find there.
