Hey guys, I have newly started with osrs. I was wondering what the fastest way is to get some gold. Ive been doing lava dragons but I get PKd so many times I seem to be losing money as I lose all the gear that I bought with the gold I farmed. Any suggestions?
I have 40 combat skills, 47 Mage, 40hitpoints rest is shit.

I loved the idea of having an account with full dragon (60 defence) at 18 combat, and I finally decided to go for that goal.
It entails doing a bunch of quests with recoils & poison (like One Small Favor, Itchlarin's Little Helper, and Shadow of the Storm), grinding every fossil on fossil island out, and doing a shitload of museum cleaning.

I've done every quest and diary that I can, now I'm grinding to about 53 defence through the xp lamps the museum rarely drops. Then it'll be an easy path to 60 with Fossil Island.

Not much you can do with those stats. If you don't mind skilling then blast furnace and runecrafting are both decent low level money makers. Otherwise, get your magic to 75 and you can make decent profit off barrows

Not really. No more than the occasional dude at the KBD obelisk I guess. Most people just check the bosses, resource area, and soon the rev caves I guess. The home altar just saves you a bit of running.

Is it worth it to get into Runescape with a fresh character? I stopped playing a long time ago, and don't remember my account.
I want a nice grindy game that takes little effort to play while listening to podcasts.

RS3 and OSRS are both very different games, it depends what you want but both are f2p so you can try them both for yourself

Defs old school, rs3 is filled with microtransactions and even besides that it is pretty shit

This game is perfect for that. If you haven't played in a while, there's a bit of a learning curve that requires some attention. Quests do too. I recommend buying membership though, it's not really worth playing F2P.

the problem with any polls now is this is why buffs to items always pass and it's why you will never see a nerf get polled - because it will not pass

the problem isn't the skill level it's the cost of items, you will never get better by fighting noobies you have to fight people better than you to get better

PVP/wilderness in 2013 was very comfortable with the max gear being barrows, crystal shield/dfs, whip, dds, master wand, mages' book, etc.

but now we have ridiculously rare (and thus expensive) items increasing the cost to participate. Making an item more rare/expensive does not balance it. Just because a twisted bow is 1b does not make it any less OP. The same applies to zenyte jewelry, dragon claws, ancestral, kodai wand, etc. These items have increased the barrier of entry to PVP by an ass ton.

Also venom sucks dick and is retarded and broke so many parts of the game outside of PVP, but it made PVP even more cancer.

Just tested PC lads for xp and it's like 66k xp ph.. Should have 99 hp in 8 hours or so.
