Being smart and getting in at the beginning of the thread this time. How are you boys doin? Back with something I think you might enjoy.
As usual please hit me with any concerns, criticisms, compliments or wanton insults. Probably my last vid for a bit till I have an idea, get some better tools than movie maker and aren't burnt out. Will prolly repost later tonight for the Western Hemisphere crowd.
Small disclaimer: I will never be monetizing any of this stuff.
Lothric Holy Sword is so fucking fun shame it's scaling is dogshit.

Too much? 3 days apart from the last vid. Just post em as I make 'em. But like I said, last one for awhile since I'm burnt out anyway.

She's good but the original was better imo.

>literal RWBY OC >"great"

I saw you on the last thread. Also the one before that, or maybe not. You stand out because you avatarfag. Anyways I skimmed through your video. You need to edit down your invasions and show the "highlights" because watching an invasion from start to end is boring, especially watching someone who's just okay. I didn't find the text lines to be that amusing. I can't comment on sound because I had the video muted. Overall very meh.

Just started playing and Im still at the lothric tower. The boss there seems to have a halberd (rubbish!) but I really need good dex weapons. I only have a scimitar+mail piercer as pyro. What do I need to do/go to get some good dex blades (or pyromancies by that matter)?
Jonathan Reyes
I can drop you a few souls if you are on PC user
Christian Barnes
Bort? That's a hammer he's got m8 Unless you're talking about the big blue winged knight around the fountain, that's no boss Scimmy is fine, it's a good weapon, and you get the pyromancer teacher in the next area. Don't miss him. You can try the shortsword, or if you're desperate for a really good weapon and are ready to lose a bunch of neurons you can farm the Lothric K***hts for their sword Handmaiden also sells the shortsword, which is definitely decent
Ayden Gutierrez

Kayden Ward
I only post an avatar with link posts, and don't actually post much. I'd hardly describe that as "avatarfagging". I'm asking for feedback to get better but your criticism isn't really useful since you didn't actually watch the video lol. The music is also important. I do plenty of editing down of invasions and alot of it is also timed to various crescendos in the music.
Could you think about taking a more thorough look?
Some knight apparently. Unfortunately its strength based so its garbage for me. Scimitar and mail piercer (curved sword+dagger) with some upgrades on it are dope, but none of them are really a boss weapon. Thx for the tips.

doesn't having a discord kinda defeat the purpose of this general. unless all you want to do is shitpost under the veil of anonymity
Chase Martinez
>tfw DaS3 whip playthrough I wish there were some Belmont looking armor but man this is pretty fun
Nolan Jones
>tfw you gain 10 souls
Evan Gomez
Tell that to literally almost every other general that has a Discord. It's posting with trips that defeats the purpose of a general, I don't get why that's so hard to understand.
Austin Long
you poor fuck
Caleb Clark
I can't get enough of Majula. There's something absolutely mesmerizing about this town and I can't figure out what it is exactly.
Ryder Perry
What is a good place to get summons at SL60 in DS1? Ornstein and Smough maybe? I tried putting a sign down for Centipede Demon but I checked the player stats and I'm like 20 levels behind the average. The same stats say my level range is appropriate for O&S but SL60 seems way too fucking high. Are people really going that high for Anor Londo?
Samuel Rodriguez
Also, do people ever summon for 4 Kings? Seems like it'd be a cluster fuck but that's next on the list.
Thomas Taylor
i dont browse vg outside of this general but i just opened 10 generals and only 2 had discord links in their op discord doesnt seem to be super popular, why do you think we should include it?
Asher Mitchell
I've seen it before. Probably not any smart hosts who know the downsides to summoning, but there's no shortage of idiots playing. I'd imagine you would also run into a lot of people who weren't paying attention to Ingward's dialogue and didn't get Artorias' ring. Really sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Tomb is probably your best bet for summons.
Daniel Green
brigand chest with iron bracelets looks close
Easton Garcia
Do a lot of people still play DSll on PS4? I have it and noticed it was gathering dust and wanted to pop the baby back in fresh since I forgot where I was suppose to go and have no recollection of the map(s) layout.
Nathan Murphy
Oh right, I forgot about Nito. That seems more appropriate. Maybe I'll try Seath too, under the assumption that people might need help getting that tail cut.
Jayden Wood
It's not a matter of including it, it's a matter of deliberately trying to exclude it. If someone wants to join the Discord they're free to do so, and if they have no interest then it's just another link in an OP full of other links they won't look at anyway.
Andrew Hughes
this look any good?
Christian Long
it's ds2, it looks like shit
James Murphy
Pretty good
Jack Howard
Please someone summon me in Latria, my soul level is 82. I cant fucking get this PWWT, need to kill theses bosses as a Blue Phantom.
Jack Baker
a little bit edgy, but overall good
Jason Morgan
Thanks! I was just going for a worn out traveler kind of thing, I'm always playing knights and this could be a nice change, for the armorfag that I am. I could use a new hat, though. Suggestions for something that hides the face?
Wyatt Cook
For me, it's Lothric
Matthew Moore
If that's the Imported Hood, maybe the conventional Thief Mask.
Easton Wood
is it the fact that it's the most peaceful spot in the game, but it's built on top of a huge grave and a deep chasm of death, rot, and despair where bodies and trash are thrown into, only to form together to turn into the Rotten?
but i agree with you. the music is very relaxing, and when i first went out to the monument and looked at the sea, I was blown away. gorgeous view

Chase Kelly
It's got that same dreamlike quality found in the rest of the game, only without the monsters trying to kill you
Cameron Walker
Only enjoying DaS2 sounds like a hellish existence to me.
John Green
This is my problem with Dark Souls 3. It's a perfectly fine game I guess but for some reason I always completely lose the will to play it shortly after clearing Undead Settlement
Aiden Baker
its probably the biggest playbase for the game, gets 5000 odd players daily.
that said, 3 is still the biggest online for any system
Nathaniel Hill
yeah that makes sense. i've yet to play DS3 yet but DS2 seems to be the odd one out in the series
It can be generic at times, but it's like, an exceptionally well executed version of what it is
Aldia's keep was genuinely creepy to me
As was the Gutter, altho I found it creepier than the Black Gulch, aesthetically
I also liked the Undead Crypt, even tho I lost a lot of souls to those damn bell ringing bastards
I liked the lore of the Giants, and the war with them. It's interesting bc it really makes the first few areas seem that much more tragic, when you realize that all the soldiers went hollow fighting a war for centuries that was the result of a campaign of barbarism (even Captain Drummond thinks so) that the King was tricked into doing by his wife, who didn't even love him and used him for power.
Going back and seeing those soldiers whacking the Giant Trees, realizing that they'd been doing it since when you went back in the memory....
There's nothing like that for the Undead Burg in DS1. I like the lore of that game better overall, but this is one thing that DS2 did better, I think. It gave you a reason why these soldiers were here and why they went hollow, and you feel bad for them being swept up in a reckless and futile battle
Hudson Gutierrez
Lmao, I've probably dropped out of gold and made it back into gold 35 times. Gettin gold is laughably easy. You know how many splitleaf and LKS monkeys are in gold?
Plus the general atmosphere is more subdued and surreal than the others games, especially with memory loss being a central theme.
Brayden Ward
that's also a good point, along with the Lost Sinner (forgotten in the Japanese version IIRC), the uncertainty about the kingdoms that have come and gone since, and how little information there is, the way that all that's left of the Sunlight Covenant is in the toxic valley
it really adds an aspect of dementia-like quality to the concept of going hollow, and a layer to the dark --> fire cycle that shows there's so much time to forget, and so much knowledge is lost, so it's almost impossible to learn from history
Austin Parker
I know you're all a bunch of plebs who can't read so you have to watch youtube videos to understand the lore text on items but here's a long shot.
Can any one recommend some novels that feel like Demon's souls? Bleak, hopeless and like you're living in a world where demon's won the massive battle. You can fight back but you're too small for any one to really pay attention to sort of thing.
Charles Brown
git gud
Brody Flores
real life
Andrew Cooper
check devilman
Isaac Reed
If youre wiling to accept a sci-fi spin of that Seed was a pretty good novel
Bleak, humanity on its last legs as hyper intelligent beings and apex predators slowly gain more and more control over the world. Humanity slowly being turned into cattle as the one last shot at a miraculous salvation hangs in uncertainty
Joseph Gonzalez
What's the closest I can get to the fluted armor in ds3?

>Bleak, hopeless and like you're living in a world where demon's won the massive battle. You can fight back but you're too small for any one to really pay attention to sort of thing.
This is exactly Berserk, which was a main inspiration for Demon's Souls
Bentley Garcia
Just to be sure, how much of an improvement is a specialist parry item like the buckler compared to a standard light shield?

Why on earth would you like that chink shit? Its the edgiest edge of bismuth.

Will the game please stop spawning me into worlds where the host is 3 feet away from the fucking fog gate?
Jack Cooper
with the exception of the body pile monster this image feels like it's reaching. that's just dark fantasy imagery, nothing particularly native to berserk
Ian Nelson
the very early game is great in that it feels like a >real place where things happen then afterwards it feels like its just some paths between bosses with themes thrown at them and dude remember anor londo?
Camden Diaz
What is the zoom in on Bae-trice supposed to show?
>"The ‘Souls series creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, has always stated that the manga and anime has been a huge influence on the aesthetic, themes and some of the monster, character and weapon designs of both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, and has always suggested series fans should check it out."
it's a fucking fact, whether you think that image is reaching or not
Wyatt Watson
nothing, it's just like that in the art book, IIRC
>what are graphic novels
the poster didn't specify that they had to be text only
Josiah Adams
I spent 15 minutes (my first time at DS ever) and my character looks like a shit gray ethiope with a red war painting. JUST
Cameron Smith
High Wall PC FC starting now, pass dsg. Come on down to High Wall and place your signs on the wooden platform here for a good time. Warmth equipped for all your healing needs!
Juan Diaz
maybe it's because i'm approaching it from a "these are berserk references" angle, which even when taking into account that interview you linked still feels like reaching
Carter James
if you won't accept facts, then there's no point in arguing with you. it's a fact that's widely acknowledged. google it, asshole
He explicitly refers to Onion Bro's armor being inspired by a particular armor in Berserk in an interview. what more do you want, dude?
Ayden Phillips
The Souls games have you wandering around slaughtering everything in sight and feeding on their departed souls. Is there a 'PC is badguy' theory afoot?
Julian Price
are there any male face sliders for DaS1 that make your character not look like they suffer from down syndrome?
Kayden Perry
Sorry I'm an adult. I don't read pedo comic books.
