Yeah it works just fine, it's just a folder with classic WoW in it, might need to change the realm list but yeah it's fine, my ISP (Comcast) actually completely shut my internet off back in 2013 in my old apartment for downloading movies, it sucked.

they're on very rocky ground legally to do this. It works like this: If you purchase a piece of media or software in the USA, consumer law allows you to create a physical or digital copy of that media for your own personal use as a measure to protect your investment. So. Let's pretend that you purchased a copy of WoW and you also played with an account that you paid money each month for. That's all you need to legally torrent a copy of the WoW client in a format that is no longer offered by Blizzard but that you once owned and personally used. The only proof you need to establish this claim if you're called on it is a bank record of paying the subscription back in the day.
P1999, an Everquest emu project, already went through this horseshit with Sony Online Entertainment before Daybreak games acquired the IP. Several of the old fucks playing that game had issues with torrenting the edition the project used with their ISP providers and they threatened legal action against the ISP providers for any suspension of service once they yelled the facts at them.
