You can't pirate Vita games yet, only the psp games with cw.

It's a resolution downgrade because you're not playing them on a console, and in a couple of the larger battle scenes there's a second or two of loading. It's a worse experience but it's not like it ruins it for you, it's like saying the mass market version of the book is worse than the hardcover, still the same book.

Just finished KS and I really loved Lilly's character and route - I like the relatively vanilla and subdued sort of romance, the cornier bits aside. Got any recommendations of other VNs that have a similar sort of character and feel?

I started Majikoi again because I first played it before the Miyako route was finished and never got around to it. I decided to read the common route again since it had been so long. Reading it again really reminds me how much I hate Momoyo and how insufferable the writing is sometimes. First off, let me say that I don't really think that Yamato is a bad character. But the way the plot bends over backwards for him sometimes drives me fucking crazy. Case in point: that "duel" between Chris and Yamato. "Oh you're really strong Yamato-kun, let's be friends again." Her whole thing up to that point was how much she hated how he won at all costs, why the fuck would she just toss that aside after he scumbagged the shit out of that competition to win? And let me clarify that I don't dislike the kind of low cunning Yamato exhibits. But it's not like honor and chivalry are just worthless, either. There are plenty of real, historical examples of honorable commanders leading their forces to victory. I just wish Yamato had resolved their little spat in a more realistic way, like buying her some fucking chocolates or something. Fuck.
