Well he did seem to do different attacks, I guess they were a bit easier. Laser beams instead of giant meteors. And gnawing seems to be my best chance at killing the second form, though if I fail a couple more times I'll start trying phantoms and maybe use mist if they can keep him in one place for a bit

Depends entirely on the weapon you're using, and how good you are at parrying with a medium shield. Anyone with a few brain cells who sees you whip out a Target Shield, Buckler or Caestus is just going to punish your parry attempts with a backstab.

Yeah I did. There were a few moves where he stood still long enough to get in a good amount of damage with mist and gnaw did solid damage. I used the dusk ring to keep up my magic and just relied on second chance to stay alive, it worked out. I did summon up my bro tho, I like him a lot.

The Tower is super memorable. Its a real bitch the first time through, when the game was really popping the final boss could be super tough and always a ton of fun as well. Hope you manage to find a person to fight instead of the shitty npc
