Teach highschool you moron

>cal poly pomona business administrator with a emphasis in finance
>3.0 major GPA
>3.6 overall
>1500 profit
>no job
>28 years old
>will be unemployed and will probably never use the degree

Could be worse, OP.

>B.S. Mathematics
>40k debt
>graduating in 4 weeks with no job in sight
Could you put in a good word for me with your boss?

>trade scum
>5k for meme certificate
>25/hr starting

I don't get people with stem degrees who don't take the initiative to do something on their own with that knowledge they have. I don't give a shit what your grades are, invest or build something using your acquired autism.

...

Weird.

For me:
>BA Mathematics, Minor Korean
>3.1 GPA
>No debt
>75k starting salary as an actuary
OP if you aren't taking those actuary tests right now you fucked up.

And what would that be, nigger? Im not STEM but what are the exact skills one learns from college enough to start their own business?

>HS graduate
>shit GPA
>about 1-2k in debt
>get almost $900/mo in disability

Suck it up, idiot. You had a lot of choices back when you applied for college. Hindsight is 20/20, isn't it?

Stop posting this shit.

what the fuck are you doing holy shit. internships?

>what the fuck are you doing holy shit. internships?

Just taking my courses and going home. I don't even know where to get internships and I doubt I would get one when companies want experience or people from higher end universities.

Got you beat.

>M.Sc. Applied Economics
>4.0 GPA
>10k in debt
>no job

In terms of what's applicable to my life, I do compsci, do I wait for a fucking job before I start using what I learned? No, I make basic financial calculators to calculate PV and FV and I'm starting to learn more about APIs and Get and Post methods to begin work towards my own financial database which collects information about indicators I find useful. You don't have to wait for a job to use your skills.

>being this edgy on Veeky Forums
oooooh, everyone look

Maybe in NYC or something that applies, or Seattle.

I should join a club or something.

>and get bullied by delinquent brats everyday while being able to do nothing because muh equal opportunity

Yeah no thanks

>Waaah I'm ignoring my best option for my obscure academic Bachelors, but my life is soooo hard!

McFucking kill yourself

If you'd rather make $13 an hour at a call center than suck it up and teach, which is one of the only things a Bachelors in math is good for, you deserve your suffering.

>no degree
>work 4 days a week (2, 12hr days and 2, 7hr days)
> grossed 62k last year
>older brother working for Berkshire Hathaway with an MBA made less than me
>GO LEARN A FUCKING TRADE

B.S. in industrial engineering from Purdue
23 yo
52k salary as design engineer
125k debt (all out of state)

>125k debt (all out of state)
+interest

Jesus. Was it worth it?

>125k debt
Holy fuck is that normal in the US, my country is having massive debates over people with like 20k debt and then you guys pull this shit.

What do meme engineers even do?

>actuary
Normie pleb. You probly loved Stats and hated all your other maths, Wondering "Why even teach this, stats is way easier"

I wouldnt say its normal but for 1st generation immigrants bottom of middle class this is the price you have to pay to go to a good university. Unless kid is top 2-3% etc.

I wasnt very school/club motivated i just partied a lot and had good times in college. Made it out in 4 years though.

I design plastic and rubber stuff on the computer with solidworks

All of you post your resumes. I can give constructive feedback. You can do better with the academic credentials you have.

Thanks, desu I'm now getting an MS in EE but uh, the above was pretty much my only option if I wanted to get a job right away.

Ironically they also wanted experience.

What about

>BA Political Science
>3.6 GPA
>NEET (currently collecting unemployment benefits)

????

I thought about teaching English overseas. Got through the $2,000 TEFL program I signed up for, and didn't want to do it anymore. I should probably do it for one year to at least recoup my initial investment. I don't want to make a career out of it though. Most of the ESL instructors looked like they hated life.

>>BA Political Science
Take a look at consulting positions, I knew a few Georgetown Political Science BA's who got into Accenture's Federal Service branch.

>Broke ass family
>HS dropout
>Kicked out of military
>Entry level jobs since then
>Retard
>Invested in ETH early
>Hella money

There is hope brother

>I knew a few Georgetown Political Science BA's who got into Accenture's Federal Service branch.

>Georgetown

As always it's not about what BA you study, but the uni you are studying.

Learn programming, seriously. Go and learn.

A call center. What the fuck is wrong with you? Raise your standards user

>doing a master's in accounting
>haven't even graduated yet and got more offers that I can handle
Feels good m8s. Probably gonna go with the management consulting offer desu.

Get into the cannabis industry - we need your math skills. (Truly.)

Enjoy being automated you future cuck,

Don't make assumptions. I've never taken a stats class.

I loved my topology, abstract algebra, and analysis classes and I took them at the graduate level (my university offered a graduate version and a more typical undergraduate version).

I only took 1 actuarial-related class and that was my last semester there because I realized I had no hope of finding a job without it.

So no, you're wrong. I fucking love algebraic topology and I still study it a bit in my spare time. The actuary thing is just to make money but in response to OP I think it's a good option for him.

Teaching Math can be pretty good. In my area of super low cost of living, it's 45-50K starting. Not bad for working 30 (35 including your lunch period) hours a week, or 40-45 if you coach a sport, but they also pay you 10K more.

All said and done, you work 9 months out of the year and have vacation days too.

180 school days @ 6 hours a day = 1080 hours a year of work. That's >45$/hr at 50K starting. You also have plenty of time to do shit outside of work. Manage your time correctly and grade during passing periods and lunch and you will work 30 hours a week max. Home at 3PM. Its pretty fucking great.

The problem is, you're still a teacher.

Sure, but there are a fuckload of consulting firms which do similar work with the Federal Government, not all of them require that you graduate from Georgetown.

kek

>accounting degree, economics concentration
>3.2 (depression is a hell of a grade sinker)
>50k debt
>only employer who would take me was starbucks

>doing two side-businesses to (eventually) make money and get out of debt

Veeky Forums is honestly more educational than college.

>and I doubt I would get one when companies want experience or people from higher end universities.

This. I applied for internships in college. Didn't get a single one. Graduated. No job because "no experience."

We really got jewed. But you """need""" a degree to get a job, so you take the debt thinking it will let you earn 60k instead of 20k a year. But then you end up with the McJob anyway. We got fucked. Years of my life down the toilet and I'm still worse off than a high school dropout.

>6'4
>BA in management UCLA (didn't finish)
>CTO at dads biotech firm
>pornstar on the side (extra 5k/month)
>200k/yr total (also some income from various real estate holdings)
Fucking losers.

>post production vfx
>0 debt
>40k a year
>rent a room in a house
>28

if I started earlier I'd be at 80k. I'll be 30 making baby money. my own place casts $1600 a month.

thanks toronto

how do i not be like you

Need advice on the profitability of the degree I'm hoping to get.
Double Major in Finance and Business with a Minor in Economics.
I'll then be going on to getting a Master's in Business/ Administration.
I'm joining military and will more than likely be choosing a career in Intelligence.

if i were you i would take out actuary
most people who get loads of cash with a major in math minor in finance or accounting or economics. you dont even have a education degree.

dam im not majoring in accounting. maybe my brother was trying to fuck me over with that major.

>apply for internships in college
>don't get anyway
Fucking this. How do you get one of these.p? I've applied for six and haven't got a single one. And yet I know a girl who gets them like candy. How do they
Decide who gets them

Kek'd

I'm an industrial engineer. We do nothing

Learn how to sell yourself better.
Ask the chick to go over your resume and elevator pitches.
Cold email companies you like the look of and ask for internships.

>didn't take out absurd college loans
>somehow still fell into debt like a chump
>dependent on guberment handouts
>"life is so hard"

>waiter
>25/hr
>0$ costs
Hours suck tho. No bennies and no room to advance. I plan to enroll this fall

Is this in NYC?

Where do you live that teachers make 50k? 35k here

>Accounting degree
>Making $15/hr at Excel monkey job that people with associates degrees are doing

Some of us just weren't meant to be winners.

Why

>180 school days @ 6 hours a day = 1080 hours a year of work.
You're not counting the amount of time you have to spend outside the classroom grading shit, calculating grades/report cards, attending meetings, preparing lesson plans, and all that fun stuff. If you think the job beings the moment the morning bell rings and ends when the last bell ends, you're an idiot.

>Veeky Forums is honestly more educational than college
Holy shit bro please be joking. I genuinely only come here for lols. This is the biggest cringe hoard on Veeky Forums. There is no knowledge here. Ho to a library buy a book. Harvard offers free classes online. There are literally infinite ways tonlearn. This place has nothing to offer

>lesson plans
Please stop. Grade papers on lunch. Teaching is a cherry gig

Yes you should. You should also go to career services and start applying. It's a shame that your school isn't being proactive and helping you but you gotta help yourself
