Yeah, just decent. Honestly the main thing that bothered me about the writing was the beginning. Dan tried so hard to make it be a "totally generic high school girl dating sim nothing to see here", that he forgot that even those types of VNs are supposed to open with some kind of impact that keeps reader interest. The VN just opens with "I have a childhood friend". It took awhile to really get into it.
The art is pretty typical "if I render it hard enough no one will notice the mistakes!" stuff. It's serviceable at least but pretty stiff and sometimes awkward looking.
