They'd do less if you get that perfect salvo, but the average damage per game would be higher.

You are looking at 2k per torp with maybe 1/10 getting a flooding

Well, my thought was that because torpedoes are so easy to dodge with such a huge reload, the solution would be to reverse the way they work.

instead of one volley every ~2 minutes that may get one hit, two or maybe even three volleys depending on torp setup in 1 minute. Basically the way low tier DD's are. A high number of hits would be common and even with reduced damage in total they should do more.

Actually now that I think about it, technically China is the biggest wows server. I've seen estimates of around 200k concurrent players, which would put it above all other 4 servers put together.
