I don't think you'll find the game to be much different besides some builds being crappy and others maybe better. But you can prepare for the upcoming changes which are supposed to turn the whole game's item balance upside down (in a month or so supposedly). Make more money, get more team level, grind some shit you know? also there's going to be rank reset even iirc so you can reset to get the new classes or dump your a build you didn't like etc.
Otherwise I'd stay away for a few more weeks till the new shit arrives, or you might be burned before the fun stuff actually begins, check your mail you might have some time scrolls to grab or whatever.

Sorc. Depends on what you like. Fencer and Fletcher both have really low cooldowns, so they're pretty fun, and Fletcher is fairly versatile. Cataphract has a mount and runs around at the speed of sound, but it was literally raped in the rebalance and now does 0 damage. Doppel is melee and has high numbers and a decent amount of skills as High3 Doppel3.
