We wanted to make Dragon priest a little bit less about playing minions on curve and a bit more about control. This card pushes in that direction.

Keep in mind that if you are not playing a bunch of dragons it is a 4 mana 3/3, so quite a bit different than Hellfire or Abyssal Enforcer in that respect. Quite strong overall though!

I don't have a problem with Gringer Mage in general considering it is one of the few true control decks left but Glyph needs to be nerfed

It is a very powerful deck that is hard to play, exceptionally hard. Gaara from tempo storm streams a lot of mage decks and he is at the top of the legend rankings in multiple regions, you should check out his decks if you want to see some powerful control mage builds. They are very hard to play though, most players are going to be annihilated.

I think it's a tier 2+ deck on non-legend ladder where aggro is more prevalent for sure, but I will admit it's a hard deck to play, even harder I'd say than old Control Warrior in knowing when to be greedy and when to go in on removal, plus your win condition being fatigue against various slow matchups like Handlock

its definetly not tier 2. tier 1 decks are tempo and highlander and tier 2 are zoo and hunters and so on, its definetly not that good. That being said you can make it work if you ridiculously tryhard it and your opponents misplay fairly often because you are a rather fringe deck

Taunt Warrior was not that dangerous.
It's just too curve dependant to be dangerous compared to other highroll decks

The variant of Control Warrior known here on /hsg/ as "Wallet Warrior" was a TGT-ish deck that focused on stacking the list with fat ass legos like Ragnaros, Baron Geddon, Sylvanas, Boom, Justicar, Grom, and sometimes even Arch-Thief Rafaam once LoE hit. I remember specifically seeing an image float around here with those cards in a wallet. I hate Reddit too, but sometimes user, you're just fuckin' wrong.

As for Taunt Warrior,
I am more then aware that Taunt Warrior was, by far, the weakest of the ones listed.

it was "good" but it wasn't "exceptional". The weakness to Murlocs really did it in.

last week i opened a golden Krul and noone was online. it was one of the only two golden leggos i ever opened.

If there was a VS report or any decent game sample size to refer to during LOE, I doubt fatigue Elise Warrior had a positive winrate on ladder like Taunt Warrior did, it was just played because muh Elise.

Not saying it was the best deck ever, but it's not a deviation from other inclusions on that list- original Wallet Warrior in vanilla and on was the classic "45% against everything" type deck except the times it became best suited to the meta
