If you don't have the time to farm it, farm the archer or the caster node. If you are farming for Hearts you shouldn't do Avici at all past the first clear too.

The way it works is that the rate-up % is split evenly between Scat and Gil. You're exactly equally likely to get something from that group of two, but it's a 50-50 which one.
