She's the only heroine who's kinda directly said to have no real or special reason to be with Shirou. She has no long history with him, no super special connection, nothing. She only gets with him due to a wild two week romance that just kinda happens by chance.

Its kind of a point that she can move on from him in all endings and she always finds someone else. What they had was nothing special in the end. Meanwhile the other two heroines never find anyone else since their love is eternal or whatever.

But some people like that about Rin.

I'm almost sure there's probably someone on most of our friends list who supports we haven't used in months and who hasn't used ours either. Even something simple like adding a option to see how long it's been sinice someone used one of our supports would make seeing who to actually keep on your list a lot less worrying.

Its not crippled by "muh senpai", its kinda the other way around. Girl was never allowed to be human, she has no dreams because she wasn't allowed. Her life was a hell of abuse with no freedom.

She latched onto Shirou as a crutch, in order to slowly become more human by following him. Thanks to him she developed hobbies, she developed interests, she realized she had a bit more freedom than she initially thought. Shirou isn't the thing weighing her down, its the thing pulling her out of the mud and allowing her the smallest amount of humanity for once in her life, as she grows autonomy. If she didn't have Shirou, she wouldn't have had any humanity at all these last ten years. Yeah its kinda a point that she doesn't have much going on in her life aside from him and is emotionally crippled, no fucking shit, read the route. Shirou halfway into the story painfully realizes that the girl he thought he knew all this time never had a choice.
