Kirumianon, if Kirumi hadn't been given the motive/"backstory" of being the secret prime minister, and hadn't been pushed to kill someone in Chapter 2, how do you think she would have behaved in the rest of the game?
Do you think she would have been a victim (such as to Shinguuji in Ch 3), survivor, or a killer in a later chapter?

I think what Comun said was very interesting regarding Peko.
She can choose to act on what Kuzuryuu is or what she believes him to be, which gives her a moral dilemma and where her mistake lies.
It's also interesting to see her ruminations about the meaning of smiling, which she seems to have forgotten. Peko is very poor at understanding her own emotions, which makes Mahiru the perfect foil.

I'm not exactly who you're addressing, but I've thought about it. I think she's fall victim to Kiyo in Ch 3 probably. She seems to trust him well enough, or they at least get along, and unless she was being really suspicious it shouldn't be that hard for him to request her to do something that is a trap. She also seems to be his second top pick (after Kaede), or perhaps first if you did/didn't do his FTE as Kaede. He might even be able to do everything basically the exact same way, just having her for the seesaw trick since it wouldn't be that hard to ask of her unless she was really adamant that seances are bullshit and don't work.

Yeah I think that's one of her biggest issues, she just has no ties to the rest of the cast at all. I know "chapter 2 killer with one really major tie who's absolutely devastated by it" is par for the course, but Kirumi having a friendgroup or anything that'd help her open up would do wonders for her character.
Hoshi at least feels like he can stand on his own; I definitely wish he got more stuff and that his arc got a satisfying resolution, but he doesn't feel like "uhh what do we do here" "just write something"

Kirumi's execution was too brutal, she didn;t deserve this

That's hard to judge really. I remember an user saying that Kirumi is one of those who would probably take the HICKSON reveal the hardest.
Because she's someone who can easily maintain and give off comfort for other people like Kaede, Kaito without having any individual relationships she is stronger with, I can imagine she probably wouldn't survive till the end.
Usually the characters who are the open driving force that aren't the protagonist, end up dying in dangan ronpa.
What I wanted most was for her was to have more supporting relationships that reveal her own weaknesses as a human or her own perceived weaknesses.
It's a shame that her most popular ship is basically her victim - Hoshi - because she doesn't treat anyone else in a special way. She doesn't seek anyone out because she's so confident in herself, so I guess the manipulative all this time would have made better for her FTE.

I don't think it would matter since what ultimately killed her was her own decision to climb that stupid vine.

Exactly! I genuinely find her internal conflict the best written in the game out of the kuuderes, even if many others disagree or dislike her. Peko forcing herself into a role that Kuzuryuu never wanted her to be and feeling as if she failed as his tool when he was trying to distance himself to protect her was wonderful to explore.

Firstly it was Leon and now Kirumi. Anyone who tried to escape got brutal executions.

I'm not sure she would. She'd take the world being gone pretty badly, but I think the world being fake would be a relief to her, especially after the previous reveal. It would let her focus more on helping the people around her, if anything she might be able to pull others out of the funk of a fiction reveal faster.

Giving Peko some friendship with Mahiru would have made her kill all the more painful!
Of course all of class 77 was best friends, but Peko still was stuck together with Fuyuhiko and no one else.

Shame it's non-canon and wasn't really part of SDR2.
Mikan, Mahiru, Hiyoko and Ibuki were very close. At least Maki now has Saihara apart from Kaito, Peko just had Fuyuhiko.
Another interesting thing though was that it was heavily implied that Hinata had a crush on Peko, while with the other girls he had to spend some time with them first, so they end up falling for him.
I guess we get some window into Hinata's ideal woman with his crush on Peko..

They have one event where they talk about a maid from Amami's past. He's also the Variety type character on her team.

I think the character that interacts with her the most is Sayaka actually, who I believe can talk to her every year and they have a sort of mini arc.

Also for those interested/didn't already know, the spider's thread in Kirumi's execution has a story behind it. The specifics don't really match up, but the general moral does, which is that she ends up condemned because she attempted to leave on her own without regard for those trapped in hell with her.

I remember people theorizing Korekiyo would get that execution instead. Kind of interesting to reflect on, I think it makes more sense for Kirumi with regards to her motives and general actions in chapter 2 though.

You know what I would like as the new twist? A character who backstabs you, it first appears as a nice friendly character, but when it gets revelead as a murderer it reveals it hated your guts all along, even pulling meta stuff and how it was just pretending to have development by your side and waiting its time.
