You only doubt it because at bronze and low-level qp, it's not what the other Sombras are doing. There are times when you as a Sombra have a specific purpose though, and that is some sniper on the enemy team in a place the rest of your incompetents can't do enough about. At bottom-level there's also the times when the defender team leaves the objective unprotected against you.
