So I wanted to give this game a try and it's telling me I have "strict NAT" with an implication that the game won't work worth a shit.

I have no idea what the fuck port forwarding is, or NAT, and everything I google about just gets even more confusing with abbreviations like DMZ and UDPD or something.
The game looks really fun, but am I just fucked? Is there anything I can do about this? Should I even bother playing? My internet is ATT and satellite because I live buttfuck nowhere, but no game has given me much lag or any messages like this before.
