Because now you need to build the street to get him to lvl 10. He already seen your tent, better step it up now.

Tent's raise the level cap not actual levels (except for giving everyone in your canp +5 hearts.

They increase the level cap. Before you craft any amenities the max friendship level is 7, but now you can go up to 10 with villagers that have a preference for cool. Also you don't need the tent in place, just crafting it bumps the level cap up.

The way I do it:
Throw 'em out shortly before reset if I want their stuff
If they show up next do their missions. Bring them back into camp after done.
I think you can even get some of their hourly camp bonuses still if you do it early enough.

Sadly, most of the girl hairstyles are rubbish. It was kinda annoying seeing the same hairstyle on pretty much every rando I passed by.

I don't really like the mobile animal crossing. It feels incredibly restricted (to catch bug, go to the bug zone, to get fish go to the fish zone, etc.).
The buying of in-game stuff feels very clunky and the interface realy is a hassle. Every object is just "tap it" and that's that. Fishing isn't tense and neither is bug catching.
But my close friends all proclaim it to be the best thing ever and the future of animal crossing. How has the reception been here?

I agree. but at the same time I enjoyed grinding for all the animals I liked the most out of the 40 and am still enjoying the decorating aspect.
Pocket camp could have been amazing but they decided to be as lazy as possible for whatever reason
