Despite how bad our community can be, it's nowhere near as bad as overwatch's (I used to play Overwatch daily since launch), the gunplay in this game feels really nice and getting kills is satisfying, it'll take a little more learning to be good at this game like map calls and learning how different guns play and how to effectively use operator abilities but it's (to me at least) much more rewarding to learn these things in Siege

Overwatch is pretty casual mate. You can learn all you need to know about the game in an afternoon. If you can't aim, you can play a class that doesn't need to aim. Overwatch isn't a bad game, and it's polished as hell - I haven't seen a bug in ~60 hours.
Siege feels more like a spiritual successor to Counter-Strike. It's slower, more methodical and cerebral, but you still have to shoot first and aim well in order to win games. You have to put up with more bugs though, because ~ubisoft~.

You are going to struggle at the beginning because you don't know the maps, you are going to get killed from windows, killholes, and other shit without knowing what to do because you lack basic map knowledge.
If you manage to stick for long enough, then the game will become something entirely different from your first 50 hours or so of gameplay (that is, pvp gameplay of course).
Map knowledge is probably 50% of the game, and that is something that you can only get over time.
