Do we actually know if Vigil's carbine has AR or SMG damage drop-off? Becuase in game that's the only mechanic that differentiates them

You literally just wait a few second before moving and they'll be gone. If they don't see anybody running out of cover in the first 5 seconds they think you spawned somewhere else. His magic static also warns you ahead of time that "Oh shit there's a Lesion near this exit better get ready for a spawn peek."

When you guys are learning a map what things do you look out for specifically?

Starts off simple, the basic layout, where everything is, where they can get in. breakable outer walls, hatches, windows.
Then you get into breakable floors/ceilings, advanced sightlines. A lot of stuff might not come up or be discovered for a while down the line.

static cams/hatches and general layout is the first thing you need to get the hang off.

the tower map is a clusterfuck and after spending over 4 hours on it i still have navigate it properly.

Smoke becomes a lot more valuable in Ranked where attackers have 1 less minute and you can basically block off their advances for 30 seconds
