This is the first roguelike in a long time that I've legitimately enjoyed. I'd love to see more like it.

mages is kinda really easy in incursion. unlimited identification, attack magic, teleportation and spam with summon 1 lvl monsters, latter three is from the start. also almost unlimited mana.

Very difficult to parse.

And then you get oneshotted by a breath attack or an enemy with a wand because resistances are dog shit in Incursion, or ganked by the silence aura tentacle monsters, or dumpstered by something sneak attacking you or throwing/shooting random shit.

So, how do you make the crown jump off V's ugly head as a str 0 dude? Arrows?

Actually I just wizmoded that and he does not wake up even if you take three sils, I'll try it again with normal stats

You get told to play Amylona instead, which is basically a non-shitty ADOM.

Don't get me wrong, the tension does get broken, but since you're in a tiny hall with no one around, nobody actually wakes up, not even morgoth, unless you go back near him.
And it takes at least ten grace to get that fucker to sleep, I had to quaff miruvor and grace over and over, but that shows it's doable outside of wizmode.

most japanese rogulikes have some sort of non-permadeath feature where you can carry over 1-2 items between runs or some shit and then a Real Roguelike Mode ultra-final-dungeon you unlock after playing through the others
