The distant counter is the notable difference but his statline isn't that bad.

I actually use Summer Xander together with Brave Lucina. The speed boost actually lands Xander in a pretty good range.
Dorcas however is still too slow even with a boost.

If it's just Steady Stance it's probs overkill and better to invest into something else, if you're gonna give her Steady Breath it might be worth it since it'll translate into more damage via Bonfire/Ignis potentially.
Then again maybe Wrath's enough to fuck up anything really.
