A player with a slow HDD and can click on BB/Valk's icon at the exact same time a player with a fast SSD can. The icon selection screen just appears earlier if you have faster storage, so the SSD only helps this situation if you can't remember where that operator's icon is.

If your friend buys it on steam he will still be using the uplay client and has to make a profile you can get on your uplay friendslist. It makes no difference where you buy it.

If you buy the game on Steam or the Ubisoft store, or a 3rd-party, you're all playing it on Uplay, so you and your friend will be able to play together. PC, Xbox, and Playstation, are divided and can only play with others on the same platform.

I'm building my rig soon If I manage to save enough during winter what is the point of SSDs and what should I store there?

I've read some but they only say stuff like SO FST so I don't really get what I should be storing there since the PCs I had were always just for work and music.

SSD is expensive but well worth it because they are stupidly faster than regular mechanical storage.
windows is a priority install and depending on the size you can also throw games in there and gain a very noticeable performance boost in most games, especially if they load textures on demand.

It's BASICALLY faster boot times and load times, as I've said multiple times they literally offer NO advantage in games that dont need loads while youre playing, like all multiplayer-only games
SSDs are mostly beneficial for is you like playing a of singleplayer games or multiplayers that actually have loadtimes (like MMOs, like WoW)
As a base, I have my OS, WoW and then 1 or 2 games on my SSD, all multiplayer only games go onto HDDs cause they're preloaded when you start a game

Install your OS there, along with "normal" programs. Games are relatively large, so you'll want to put games on your SSD which feature frequent loading of data, or notably long periods for loading data.
Open-world games usually load data in the background, so you may not notice slow loading speeds on some games, but on other games this can lead to "pop-in" where parts of the map don't load in fast enough and then suddenly appear. Round based games like Siege, they don't start until everyone loads the needed data, so you wouldn't be at a disadvantage with slower loading times, but the other players in the lobby may get upset if you take forever to load and make it take longer to get in to the round.

Anything you want to LOAD faster goes on a SSD.
R6S loads the whole level before the round starts so you won't get a noticeable upgrade there.
Games like pubg that are too big to load everything at once are best played on SSD because they constantly need to pull shit from your hard drive.
As for regular files like music and videos you'll at least be able to open their directory faster. If you like having huge folders you'll see a difference with SSD. Programs in general will also start faster.
SSD's are at worst a very nice quality of life improvement and at best performance boosters in a decent number of games.
