I don't need ki confirms or ki blast cancels to win against someone who throws out johns like you. Also, there's explicit pieces of code in the game that determines or not a move can be cancelled and in what way it can be cancelled (step cancel, vanish/evasive cancel, super/ult cancel, forward cancel, ki blast cance, etcl). It's all seems very intentional.

It clearly was not intended. Besides, most of the known hit confirm combos that I've seen have much more optimal options instead. You can't cancel out of everything with ki cancels either, and you can step cancel out of more attacks with some races than others. Buufus have step cancels out the ass, that's why I thankfully never have to resort to using ki cancels, but some races don't.
