Drive Atk is better than shitty Fortify Def.

The way stat growth works centers on 3* stats. At 3* every growth point increased the final total by 2 (and thus at 3* all boons/banes differ by exactly 3). In order to give lower rarities worse stats and higher rarities better stats, you either have to have crunch points where they diverge or have the difference be ridiculously large.

They could have tried making 5* the place where gains are consistent, but then you'd either have 5*s with the stats of current 3*s (much lower numbers all around) which creates large variation on lower rarities (something they'd want to avoid, since variation relatively affects weaker units more already), or you'd have much higher stats all around (3 growth per point, instead of the current 2.2) which would widen the difference between different rarities, making the game more pay2win.

What do you think about optimization?

Obviously, distant defense and DC are a given. For you, that'll give 39 def/res when attacked.
What about B and Special? How does Quick Riposte with Sol sound? That should give you guaranteed kills, because weapon damage should kill most ranged units, and the Sol might be enough to take him back into QR range for a second round.
