rage had a near constant rate of decline as you played the game, I found the high tech enclave style faction to be so boring and the map needed more hub areas, it was a shame the game wasn't tightened up in a few small areas, which would make it great.

Defender of the Faith and Crusader beliefs are pretty strong if you can get it but yeah, most of the beliefs are not even close to worth the opportunity cost of getting the religion set up before the AI grabs all the available prophets.
