I've tried to get into vehicle meta several times in the past but I always got bored/annoyed/frustrated and quit after a day or two
I just pull tanks / vehicles for travelling instead of always redeploying. I find it makes the game more fun and I'm slowly progressing on the vehicle directives. But I guess you're talking about more organized vehicle play.

For example
TR has 45% continent pop
NC has 30% pop
And Vanu have 25% pop
As NC you wouldn't be able to warp and you will be put in queue
