Standing in front of the Literature Club’s door, you pause. Your last two days have been interesting. You met two new people, reacquainted yourself with another, and got more time to spend with a very good friend, all with one decision to join this club. As a bonus, all four of said people are exceptionally cute girls. Life sure has gotten a lot better. Hopefully things stay like this for a long time.

“Oh my god, hurry up!” Natsuki gripes from behind you. “Why are you just standing there, anyway? Weirdo.”

Ah, so you’re not the last one today, despite having had to go to the bathroom after class again. You toss her an apologetic smile over your shoulder and walk in. The other three are in their usual spots. Sayori is at her desk, writing in a rather cute, blue hardcover book while humming lightly to herself. Her face lights up when she looks up at the sound of the door opening and she sees you. Yuri is reading one of her larger novels. Oddly, the pages toward the center where she was reading poked up a bit above the other pages. Monika is still idly browsing through her phone with one hand, the other holding her head up. She quirks a small, wry smile as she taps out something on the screen, then settles back into neutrality. She doesn’t look up upon your entry. Natsuki walks past you, grunting slightly as her shoulder brushes your arm. After pulling a manga volume out of the closet, she produces two pillows from her backpack, sets one on the floor against the wall, and settles down with the second, a U-shaped neck pillow, braced around her neck.

Holy shit... I just read the pastebin but I'm meaning to go back and read the start of the other thing because if it's even as half as good as that. It'll be totally worth it.. I don't know why but that hit me hard. I was torn in half all the way through and just couldn't stop reading it.. I'm glad you moved away from the original ending but I could tell when you were writing the revised version you definitely came into your own. It made me realise one thing.
