I actually like that they are getting rid of the mutliple starting FTLs. I never felt they added anything to my game. The ability to build portal networks and the jump ability, however, seem like it will have much more consequence for the late-game. If nothing else, it will allow me to further build-up my empire without expanding.
Noah Hall
careful on qorum, looking at the queue you have too many pops for it to actually create new riftborn and it's going to stall old news gramps, we've all been through that rodeo
Jaxson Martinez
>careful on qorum, looking at the queue you have too many pops for it to actually create new riftborn and it's going to stall >it's because another fucking horatio immigrated Lad you're nice and all, but if you keep sending me migrants I'm going to glass your worlds with no survivors.
Blake Lee
What was the consensus? Last time I was here everyone was bitching about how incompetent the devs were for not finding a way to fix combat without removing """"""features"""""".
Michael Roberts
>have twice the vodyani score >they walk up to my pop trashcan and abduct people Can they steal pop? Can't I just gift them every organic?
Christian Baker
Someone give me a /civ4xg/-approved Starsector mod list.
Joshua Allen
>finish riftborn quest >still get a message from coroz saying they need to emigrate
Jacob Richardson
Post a full map view of your current game right now.
Gabriel Lopez
They can 'steal' it by lowering food so they starve.
Logan Cook
Man, a guardian technologist is flat out broken. >technologist gives you 80% ship shield capacity, capacity, 50% fleet shield capacity, 30% science or 80 system + 80 per cold, and 80% shield pen on fleet for good measure >guardian gives you 30% industry, 40% damage, 40% hull pen, then again 25% damage and 33% shield Shit son, calm down.
Charles Sanchez
There is some serious shit going on but that's almost over.
>Guardians and the Galaxy >It's just a big unfallen orgy lewd.
Austin Ortiz
Uh. How did this happen?
ANNO 2205 went up from it's 60% Positive rating at release to 82%?
Did they fixed the flaws it had?
Elijah Bell
>consensus HA HA
Michael Baker
Looks like blatant astroturfing
Ian Rodriguez
Unless there has been a big patch recently (doubt it, Anno 1800 was announced) it's not sincere. I doubt why would anybody do this so long after the release, having better score doesn't affect anything anymore.
Evan Gray
>pass through horatio space on my way to war >he intercepts me, demands I get out >huh, fuck you buddy >attacks me And that's how I started a war against half the galaxy.
Michael Thomas
> Horations plan's don't include you > [We propose alliance]
Lincoln Richardson
Nigga are you serious? How do I burn this down?
Charles Hughes
Just let it be. It is a free pop.
Easton Parker
SPREAD YOUR BEAUTIFUL SAUCE ACROSS THE GALAXY

In the last 30 days. Probably a lot of people picked it up during the sale and liked it. It's not like the global rating jumped 20 points.
Justin Robinson
>Horation Smoked genes?
Levi Hernandez
Is Neutrino Corp safe or is it still buggy as hell?
Tyler Carter
Man, I wish there was an option to just burn the system to the ground immediately like cultists do. Would make it so much faster.
Henry Baker
I'd laugh at you for using "consensus" at Veeky Forums like did but >everyone was bitching about how incompetent the devs were Is the general consensus of this general, at least regarding to paradox.
Also removing options instead of making them work correctly and in fun way is absolutely plebian, disgusting, and bad design. So apparently quality by Swedish standard.
Angel Brooks

Lincoln Gomez
That's a crazy game, who are the alliances of?
Michael Howard
>play shipbound riftborn custom race >pops still keep dying off because of lack of food? urgh, fix these bugs ffs
Xavier Garcia
I would have thought they select alliance names on the basis of majority political parties, do they not?
Logan Jackson
>You dont choose alliance names Yes you can. Go to diplomacy and click on the alliance name.
Brayden Williams
Neat. Any way to prevent your ally from accepting truces?
James Martin
Me (Blue, Horatio), 2 UE (Pink and Yellow )and Lumeris (Bordeaux) Sophons (Green) and Unfallen (Cyan) cutting me from my allies and DOWing me every 20 turns. Lumeris (Top right), Vod (Orange) and Cravers (Green-Blue bottom right) on the other side of the galaxy. Riftborn (Violet) and their almost destroyed Unfallen allies. Non-aligned Cravers (red) hating my guts.
Second ever real game, Serious difficulty. I'm enjoying it a shitload.
Levi Turner
You can say that you dont agree to that truce but i'm pretty sure it means leaving the alliance. Unless it's a Force Truce and you can just shit out influence.
Kevin Ramirez
Fuck off.
Robert Gray
I like how half of the submitted quests are dealing with unfallen becoming trees in awkward locations

That is a fun setup, guess I should start playing with more factions at once

Free pop, free defense boost during a defense, free influence generation.
Only reason to burn down a Guardian is if you absolutely hate tree people.
David Reyes
No, I mean some turns the notifications pop and it turns out my ally accepted a truce. When I'm the one who's offered and I can tell them to fuck off.
Dylan Sanchez
I absolutely hate tree people. I bet the unfallen did this. Fucking organics get off my planets.
How is it, by the way? Heard negative things, but it was a while ago. Shirley, they fixed it.
Jordan Ramirez
>abandon the game at 60% completition >it magically fixes itself And dont call me Shirley.
Wyatt Cooper
It's an unfinished scam. I'm not sure why it's allowed to stay on steam and be presented as a complete game.
Zachary Miller
Ha, they abandoned it. I knew it was uncomplete, but I thought it was because it was Early Access. Just like Battle Brothers, then.
Pff... Guess I'll keep playing Startopia, then.
Nathaniel Clark
How much time did that take you?
Eli Hernandez
>Starting a new Stellaris playthrough because why not >find honorbound warrior birds empire >they ask non aggression pact >fleet power is the same so accepted >there is a space living crystals prism in an uncontested system nearby their border >confident in my fleet i attack the prism >getting wrecked >birds fleet arrive and save my ass >they don't even send science ships to collect the debris for the crystal techs These birds are now my bros
Ayden Barnes

Joseph Reyes
I'm going to wipe all but one organic race off the galaxy. Who do I save for last?
David Peterson
Horatio. Kill them slowly.
Juan Morgan
not humans, they always come up with some bullshit weapon and fuck up your plans
Sebastian Evans
Good thing fuckratio isn't human.
Nathan Mitchell
>come up with some bullshit weapon
Dominic James
Terraforming seems really inconsistent for some reason. The same planets don't always offer me the same possibilities on the same turn.
Lucas Anderson
>humans save the galaxy from the riftborn using their greatest weakness. love.
Josiah Perry
I was thinking UE or maybe sophons since they didn't really give me shit. Cravers are first. Then I think unfallen because they planted guardians on my systems. They're allied with horatio, so that's that.
Alexander Wood
And breaking spines.
Liam Fisher
Would it break the game if the riftborn had one or two more pop on sterile for Main pop and less on fertile planets? It could be a tech. It's kinda silly that they love sterile planets but they can only put the same amount of pops on them.
Isaiah Martinez

horatio+riftborn best alliance
Jaxson Sanchez
It isn't going to show you an option you already queued up.
Easton Turner
You can't stop allies from making truces at all, you can only object to them declaring wars which removes you from the alliance.
It's objectively worse than the old veto system from before the statecraft update and I have no idea why Amplitude changed it. But then again, the alliance mechanic is inherently broken anyway.
Andrew Clark
>kenji is there like "oh damn, another crippling injury" Amazing.
Andrew Murphy
My favorite part is the goofy cultist walking in the foreground
Owen Long
Should i get uplay Anno 2070 for 7 bux or Steam one for 12 bux? Does Steam entail anything as a bonus?
Ian Ortiz
Steam update it for free, but you get Uplay anyway.
Grayson Thompson
What do you mean for free...you mean automatic update? Uplay charges for patches?
Connor Adams
>But then again, the alliance mechanic is inherently broken anyway. >have maximum diplomatic pressure, literally pissing food luxuries and the buyout one down the drain for dust >it doesn't matter if you give 10 or 200, they don't make the bar budge even if they don't have any >in fact sometimes it's a 4:1 exchange to get ONE same tier tech, not to mention the influence cost >the AI is also remarkably forgetful and bad at negotiating anyway Why did they make it so that score influences diplomacy and their relation towards you in peace time if you can push their shit in if they're not cravers with less score? Or is it that I really don't understand how the happy merchant gauge works.
Eli Gomez
No. Uplay does it too, my brain just farted as I was trying to find a reason to use Steam.
Ubisoft is pretty shitty, but they don't charge for patches and updates. They're not Paradox. You're getting Uplay even if you go through Steam, so save the money.
Christopher Thomas
The cultists have sick capes, it's a shame the imperial ones just don't have the same style. It's nice that zelevas thinks to put on a different coat for different occasions though.
>acts wounded when I end the alliance Should have thought of that when I glassed a non-craver race because they had the gall to plant trees on my planet.
Bentley Taylor
There's also how the whole allied victory condition is completely meaningless because you have no reason to not just pursue your own victory, leave the alliance when you have enough dust/endless techs/wonders/systems and instantly win.
Eli Butler
If you get steam version you'll have to launch it in addition to uplay to play. Also you get a clusterfuck where two clients are managing one game and neither does it in 100%.
Ethan Roberts

Origin, Uplay, GoG, Battle.net, Epic Games Launcher.
Ryder Reed
Okay. >starts fun, lots of options to customize your empire >is fun at first, you explore and discover stuff
And then it goes sour. >most options are just cosmetic and makes no real difference >the actual gameplay is pretty shallow, you have no influence on battle at all >none at all, even Endless Space let you influence the battle somehow >no spying, no disinformation, the moment you do something, the entire galaxy knows >but if the AI commit atrocities, nobody tells you >AI is retarded and enjoy giant bucket of dicks to eat at every meal >civilizations that hate each others will still ally just to make the game harder for you >you're bound to spawn surrounded by people who hate you to force you to expand aggressively
Jackson Wood
It also showcases paradox's cognitive dissonance. >We want FTL to be balanced so that the map has space terrain for fun engaging gameplay >Fix the tile system and balance traits? Why? Just roleplay man!
Sebastian Rivera

GoG Galaxy can be skipped. You can still download the game directly from GoG.
And Tropico's dev, too. It wants an account, despite being a solo game.
Carter Gonzalez
You forgot GTA social club for extra underage skimming.
Connor Hall
Fuck Rockstar. They deleted all my save, even my solo one, without ever giving me an explanation.
Cooper Bailey
>Epic Games Launcher. What the is that real?
Dominic Moore
To be fair GoG has had theirs forever and it's a fine DRM free steam alternative. Battle.net has also been around in some form forever, and it's excusable because they have their own f2p titles and a full on cross game account system.
Origin and Uplay however are just a combination of steam copycats and second layer of DRM on top of whatever DRM the games already use. They have no purpose in existing other than to avoid giving gabe a cut.
Gabriel Wilson
>They have no purpose in existing other than to avoid giving gabe a cut. That's not what's wrong with them. It's every thing else. Mostly how generally terrible they are for the clients.
Luis White
To add on this user Battlenet is quite passive unlike many other copycats. Id even say its chat is pretty good since its WoW based.
