In what order should one take on the content of this game?

My understanding is that you complete the planet map, then you do the orokin vaults to get the warframe mods, from there you farm relics to get strong prime frames and gear and then you do the sortie missions?

Map not important. Check the alerts and ask for taxis.

Complete quests. Farm cred and endo in index and rathum. Get them sweet mods to r10. Complete quests as possible.

Completing the planet map and doing the various "quest" missions is a good start, but the bridges between planets require you test the waters and do a bit of everything before proceeding.

Farming prime frames is not some endgame activity. It's something you can (and will) start doing relatively early.

you do the starmap as it becomes available. if by orokin vaults you mean the void, there are four sections and you can do them as they come along. if you mean the derelect and those vaults, they're worth doing around halfway through the starchart for plat and improved modding. sorties can be done as soon as they're available which is round about the end of the starchart nowadays.

the game is bad at informing players, but if you just follow the nodes on the starchart and aim for the next junction, it's pretty good at directing you toward your expected progression.

I can make Burston Prime. Should I do it? I only have 18 plat atm so I'd need another weapon slot.

It's pretty ass. I'd wait on it, but you should build it eventually for mastery ofc

it's okay. if you have the arbiters mod for it, you can get it to function as a pretty decent semi-auto status rifle. it's not really worth stretching yourself for, but it'll perform if you build it.

It's a Dread with a different damage type. That's all. Dread is slashing though, and Slashing is just the best at everything ( for now ). Paris Prime does puncture though, so mileage will vary. Just treat it as an expensive Dread.

how do I access the tests?

You get MR points for ranking weapons and frames and stuff.

One rank on a weapon gets you 100 points. One rank on a frame gets you 200. So fully ranking a weapon for the first time gets you 3000. A frame, 6000. Archwings also give a total of 6000, as do Sentinels and pets.

You also get small amounts for clearing starchart missions and junctions.
