Magic has an eternal format but no one plays legacy unless they've got thousands of dollars to burn, and the most recent version of their standard format has had several bans because cards are too powerful for the format. Yugioh isn't what I'd call huge anymore either - it has definitely severely dwindled in popularity as far as physical play is concerned. Furthermore the most recently released archetype in Yugioh is almost always the exclusively viable one, because the game has reached such massive power creep that every deck has the same playstyle - it's just a matter of which one has the stronger value or the better tools, or the most consistency.

The only reason games like Magic or Yugioh could even really withstand any measure of powercreep is because they are inherently different games at the most basic level from Hearthstone or Shadowverse. In those games you have ways to interact or interrupt what your opponent does during their turn. In games like Shadowverse, your hands are behind your back. Which is why when you power creep the game, you are just making it a much shorter venture, and given that games already end way too quickly or suddenly, that's a problem.

Barring some major changes and overhauls, this isn't going to change with new sets. The only way to go from here is down.

I explained why power creep has to be a thing (highly improbable to maintain the exact same power level between cards, cards are more exciting when they powerful, people are dissatisifed when new things AREN'T powerful), and besides that, company wise it makes it easier to sell new things.
