Sanae is a human from the outside world but became a resident of Gensokyo. Do you have to join an existing faction or be strong enough to form a new one? Would an outsider get accepted as a resident of Gensokyo if he joined the youkai at the SDM or Eientei?

She gave the hobgoblins a home and work at the mansion and the fairies can continue to work for her and live at the mansion even though they're not really helping. If Remilia is in a good mood and finds the human interesting enough she might give him a chance.

If you want to work at the SDM your best bet would be to wait for a party there. They seem to happen quite often and I think even humans from the village are welcome to attend. Then you'd have to speak to Remi and somehow make yourself seem interesting to her. Getting a job at the SDM would be easy if Remi wants to have you around.

Hey my plan is to work and live at the SDM if I ever go to Gensokyo too, I've had fantasies about it before, as long as my room has a desk and a bed I'm good to go.

I'd probably just do manual physical work like moving boxes and stuff, because I'm no good at cleaning and I certainly can't make tea as good as Sakuya.
