It's been almost 3 years and Kronos is still the only server to have NPCs become suspicious of stealthed players instead of instantly becoming aggro'd and attacking.

NPCs get suspicious first on Light's Hope, but the problem is their detection is still way too damn high that they aggro almost immediately after getting suspicious. You literally have to get improved stealth talents in order to function as a rogue/druid

only reason Vanilla didn't have flying is hardware limitations. Classic will have flying, improved graphics, Nostlike 21k server pop and the game will be better for it.

wPVP is the least of the problems with flying, _my_ problem with Flying in Azeroth is that both continents were designed from the ground up to be experienced from the ground. The sense of scale is only maintained when you are forced to go the long way around. The second you can fly, even if it's at "epic mount" speed, the illusion of scale is ruined.

Why is it so ass backwards on lightbringer? I remember AV was the only bg alliance could consistently win. Doesn't ally have a map advantage?

They design around and with those limitations. Since this is a legacy game, they have to adhere to a world designed in the early 2000s and not fuck it up.

I get that this is a shit-post, but even if blizzard wanted flying in vanilla they wouldn't be willing to spend the resources required to actually do it.

It took them literally fucking months working non-stop to figure out how to get flying working in WoD. Yes, even in a current expansion their game is still a mess of spaghetti code that is impossible to program. They would constantly make posts losing their shit over the fact they couldn't figure out how to get people to be able to fly out of their garrisons without the entire game crashing and other stupid shit.

This seems inevitable for every decade and older game that still gets updates. I wouldn't mind if they just spent a few months on cruft clean up and optimization.

WoD wasn't designed for flying. They never wanted it in the expansion and when they finally decided to cave in to the players demand for flying it turned out that it was incredibly difficult to implement because of the games spaghetti code. I already explained this. If you simply don't believe me I can try and dig up the blue post about it.

Flying is not just a simple matter of clicking a button that enables people to glide through the air. Of course it worked in an expansion designed for it.
